Deputy Anne Jackson was killed on duty during the incident near Alger (just north of Skagit Speedway) that we have all read about. My co-worker who is also a weekly fan at Skagit and I think we have seen her often at Skagit doing the moonlight duty that many of the County Sherriff do. Can anyone from Skagit verify if this is true?

| A friend of ours is a Skagit deputy and she has worked at the track over the last several years. I could be wrong but, I believe she is the only female deputy that has worked there so, I don't believe that deputy Jackson did.

| Actually to verify this... I saw Deputy Jackson at the speedway last Saturday during the outlaws race. I remember her from when she helped me when my truck was stolen a few months ago. There is another female deputy that does work at the speedway too. Last edited on Thursday Sep 4th, 2008 10:34 PM by sprintcarfan85

| I thought I had seen her at the track before. This is such a sad situation for everyone and anyone involved, mostly her family.

| There have been several female deputies that have worked at the track. Yes, Deputy Jackson did work up at Skagit on more than a handful of times. She hadn't really been on the force that long. She was hired as animal control in 02 and in 05 is when she became a deputy.
