Congrats to JJ.  What a great way to come home.  :)

Extra special thanks to the Grays Harbor Raceway fire crew for the care and thought they gave in taking care of our driver, car, and overall investment after his mishap.

Your effort and skill was noticed, noted, and very much appreciated.

Very well said Bluteam, they are a great fire crew

Also, wanted to say, track was pretty darn good last night, little rough, but in the hot weather we had, track stayed very well all through the night, great work done by the track prep crew

Congrats to JJ Hickle on his win, and to Josh Muller on his win in the modifieds, great run!

Great job Track crew! It looked like millions of gallons of water were used during the week but the track held up good.

Uh Oh! What happened Ted? Hopefully me turning down free tickets from you guys didn't bring any bad mojo to the team?

Nope Skip.  Blaming this one entirely on Mrs Bluteam.  She's the bad mojo.

Everytime she rides down to the track with us, something bad happens.  :?

Good thing she's beautiful, smart, and employed full time, or we'd have to get rid of her.  :P

Gotta give kudos to the track prep team. Considering the weather we had most of the week, including Saturday, the track was great. It was a little rough at the start of the Sprint main, mostly due to lots of water and the small tires that were on it before us, but after a couple of laps at speed, it smoothed out and was a nice racey surface. It also didn't eat the tires up.

Don't know what I said that was so funny... I was trying to compliment some people that spend an enormous amount of time trying to give us a track to race on every week. These guys don't get anywhere close to the credit they deserve, was merely trying to say thank you.

Track was good, especially the hot weather we had...and the track was a little rough yes, but it's better then having a dry track. The moisture stayed in for quite a long time...I was told by numerous people that they tore the track up in the middle of the week, is that true? Anyways good work guys! See you all this weekend!

We think it's funny that you give credit to the people at Grays Harbor Raceway, for doing such a good job on the track, when, the people at Grays Harbor Raceway flat told us, they did NOT do any track prep during the week last week. They came and  told us that last Saturday night.

I'm not placing any blame. I flat screwed up last Saturday. A track that was really rough, I should not have went and tried the top. I'm a rookie, and now know, on that type of track, to just stick to the bottom.

I would rather throw new tires at the car every race, on a dry track, then put a new rear end, wings, wheels, shocks, etc, on a rough, cowboy-up, track.

I'm not trying to cause a fight here, but I just can't figure out, how you give people at the Grays Harbor Raceway credit, when they didn't give any attention to the track, the track shoud have. They told us they didn't do any track prep at all last week, other than putting a butt load of water on the track.

The welder just left our shop, and the car is ready to go after 2 1/2 days of working on the car.

We'll see you Saturday. :)

As a spectator, the track looked suprisingly good considering the week's weather.  It appeared there was a good bit of rubber down in  4, but it didn't go straight to a single groove track like it has done on a couple other hot nights this season.

I was sort of confused why after having a mod B main only 17 started the A instead of an even 20 or 22.

I liked it. A little bumpy but nothing like Friday at the Nationals when it had rained all week. The weather has been very challenging for the track prep guys this year. Seems like it is either 2 hot or too wet with not much in between. Top that off with not much clay to work with and limited equipment. Tough job. I think it could have been a lot worse considering how hot it was. I don't care for so much dust I can't see the car in front of me. Dryslick with not much dust would be good but it doesn't seem that we can acheive that with how much clay we have left right now. Did they move the sprints to earlier in the program to help tire wear? Seems like they never run last now. That would get them a dryer track.

Even if they did nothing this week, they had to do work the week before, as we were rained out... They still don't get the credit they deserve.   You are right, you are a rookie, but you have shown great promise and have kept the car in one piece for the most part. Things happen, and you learn from them. I have been playing this game for alot of years, and have seen every type of track condition there is. You just have to adapt. Like I said, after a couple of laps, the track smoothed out and was a really racey track, whether you saw any of the racing or not, it was fun out there with multiple grooves to race on.

Now you know what I went thru 2 different weeks having to rebuild the car from the ground up, but not from my own mistake or track conditions... See you at the track

How could you get a more reliable guy than Shaun?  That guy puts countless hours in every day/week rain or shine.

You're right Dan.  It wasn't funny.  My mistake.

I'm just glad that on a bright sunshiny day, when there are no clouds in the sky, we can all recognize and agree on the same thing - that being, that the sky is BLUE.

Anyone know why that is?  :)  The agreeing part, not the why the sky is blue.  :)

Thats because nobody said who "THEY" were Bobby.  No need.  But at least give credit to know it wasn't some race spreading rumors in the pits.

When we state "the people at the Grays Harbor Raceway" - thats what we mean.  The rest of us are simply paying guests - correct?

And yes - we'll get with Shaun - just like we did last week, to inquire about track conditions before we got out. :)

Lets hope for the best this week.  Weather sucks now, but looking better for Friday and Saturday.  Thanks.   :)

Hey Ted if you you want me to tell everyone your big secret ok I will. You came up to me and asked If the track was soft and I said yeah it sure was.Something was said about how much water was put on and I think my reply was looks like quite abit, said I didnt know for sure because I had been in  the hospital for a couple of days.Slim had watered the track during the week.I believe you asked or I just volunteered that we hadnt put the grader on the track, because we didnt race the weekend before due to a rainout.I dont remember for sure but I cant think of anytime that we would re-work the track if a week was skipped because of a rain out...No need to end of story.

Once again,I said we didnt prep the track.. In fact I told several people that we hadnt.,anyone who comes up to me, inquiring about the track and what has been done to it prior to race night, I will tell them exactly what has been done.

No secret Shaun.  And to be honest - I wasn't even referring to you.  Just answering Bobby's question and making sure he understands that I understand who to go to in case of any questions.

So now I'll remind you of our position in this entire matter, by quoting a 16 year old who has nothing to gain, and everything to lose:

"I'm not placing any blame. I flat screwed up last Saturday. A track that was really rough, I should not have went and tried the top. I'm a rookie, and now know, on that type of track, to just stick to the bottom.

Thanks for your input and the effort you put in Shaun.  I hope its not just for my benefit.  I also hope you're feeling better, and without question, I trust your judgment, and your judgment only, of how much water the Grays Harbor Raceway needs on its surface.   I mean that with all sincerity.

Thanks, and see you Saturday, hopefully with blue skies prevailing.

Wow!  What a great night of racing.  Fresh off the plane from Nome and headed down with the 22G guys.  The track and faciilities were even nicer than the last time I was there...and the people were just great.  Thanks to all of you for your hospitality.
