| Congrats to Seth Bergman, on the first of many many more wins in whatever he chooses to drive. Truly a first class young man from a very nice family. Good luck the rest of the way Seth!

Congrats to Seth! Scary moment when Dallas crashed the fence in turn 4.
Here's a question for you all. What happened with the program last night? My wife and I arrived at our normal 5:30 pm time and see the track is being watered. Cool! But then it is announced that we will have the opening ceremonies. I think, what, no qualifing? Then heat races start and fast time is talked about.
So when did qualifing take place, what time? It was nice getting out of there at 9, and getting home before midnight, but short night.
Anyway, we enjoyed what will probably be our last sprint car race of the year and a nice night out. Thanks to the crew at CG and the crew with the NST. We did miss hearing Fred R. though! Was a strange night for the NST.

| It is possible they started early to make sure they got the show finished incase it rained later. They have done that in the past.

We started early because of the curfew concerns. Had plenty of time after qualifying so they water the track again, a little more than we expected, so we re-ran hot laps to run it in.

| I got there at 5:15 and was surprised to see that they were already most of the way through qualifying. With only one class running, I don't think an 11 p.m. curfew would've been anything to worry about...just my $.02.

| agree with you andrew, I got there about the same time and was quite disappointed--I drove 4 and a half hours and I wanted to see the entire show, hot laps, qualifying, etc.

| If memory serves me correct , everybody was bitchin and moaning one time NST ran there because they had to shortin up the A main because of curfew? Maybe a little overkill but I can see why they moved it up after the tongue lashing they recieved last time.. On another note..WTG Seth on your win. Anyone else notice that this is a young sprintcar driver coming up and driving a #23..hmmmm, who does that remind me of???? Last edited on Monday Sep 18th, 2006 02:55 PM by rickt

| I feel they should have posted the early start time on their website at least. I was checking it a lot for updates on the weather and arrived at my normal 5;30 to find I missed qualifying. I travel about two hours and enjoy seeing a complete program. Same thing happened last year at Yakima on Saturday night. Got there as the first heat was hot lapping.

I would definitley agree with you. I did not go but would have been a little ticked about missing that action also. Many of us are into watching the whole show!

Good point Mark and that is why I always arrive 60 to 90 minutes early when possible, sometimes that work thing gets in the way. You never know when the schedule is going to change. Besides I like hanging out at the track.

| FYI Guys - They announced in the pit meeting that the Yakima show will start early, they want it done by 9:30 or 10pm. So get there early both nights. Besides it's only a buck if you show up before 3pm on Friday. The Fair people want it over early so people can go back out into the fair and spend money.
