probably slapnuts crockett, he dominated there last year til the tire went. cant stand the guy and his shenanigans, but he can wheel a sprint car

I'd also put my sleeper as HVD--with the disclaimer that their motor's gotta stay together (obviously).

cant wait.....

I'm thinking about it.  Was thinking about making a run for Saturday only and checking it out.  I spent the weekend in '03 and '04 and was impressed with the track (other than the lights) and the racing.  Plus, it's just about the last chance to see some decent racing for the year. :)

If the weather is bad in Edmonton this weekend, Smokin Joe and the Winterhawk team is coming to Yakima.  Ever since Aug 18 when Joe got in that ride they have won a race every weekend.  They are on a hot streak.  I put my money on them at Yakima.  If his wheels are still turning at the end look for Smokin Joe and the #29 machine to be up front!! Seven wins in 20 starts and counting...

HVD!!!  Last year after a crappy time in went from dead last to third. Gates and Travis won't let that happen again especially after dominating the Elma Champiopnship night only to let it slip away. HVD is bad fast on the big tracks. Crockett and horner thrown in for good racing but I've got a feeling HVD will pull it out.

Yea Andrew I think your right, I heard Rutz is drivng the 73 car again. I would like to see someone like Danny Horner win it. or Seth Bergman, Henry Van Dam, Jay Cole, Mitch Olson, or even Bill Nutter.

He had planned on it and has been running an ASCS motor at Skagit since May so that he could go race with NST when he got the chance, but he was the points leader at Skagit so he stayed here.  He won the Skagit 360 Points Championship with 3 A-Main wins (all after mid season Championships) and won the 360 Nationals Preliminary Night A-main.  Yeah, I'm a fan. :P

Not to burst any bubbles ( :) ) but the 360 Prelim Nats win was with an open motor.  But I believe Bergman showed what an ASCS motor can do with 2nd the next night.  I have no opinion on that argument, I just know what I've heard about the two types. :)

I really like Van Dam, and Crockett was no slouch there last year.  Horners leading the points.  I would pick Kent if he came up, and Nutter because his whole family is neat and he told me a story that brought a tear to my eye!  Smith 'cause he travels a long way, and Ramaker if he makes it.  0j or Fauver 'cause they're not the youngest guys anymore and us old guys gotta stick together and their cheering sections are some crazy people:P.  Olson because his stuff is immaculate and he's got a pretty cool crew guy.  Bergman, along with Ridge, and the rest of the young guys because the young guns got no fear,  VanAagten to see his crew in the winners circle wearing flip flops in September, Zuniga just to hear his last name called, Jacobson because he seems to have come outa nowhere,  Vague because 2006 started, was, and should end - great - and they bought a lot of raffle tickets.  Ingalls because he's insightful, Desbiens 'cause he loaned his motor to some kid from Enumclaw, Barnes, either one, 'cause sparks from the RR off the guard rail are exciting, Gilmore 'cause I loved his movie, Winningham or the Herminator 'cause I like hearing Fred R call their name.  Hickle because he's 16 now;) ,..........................CRAP!!!!!!!!!  I'm not leaving anyone out, I just can't decide.:X

I guess I'll just take Rutz.  Someone tell the track prep guy to put in a high side to give him room to run it WFO.:D

Best Post I've seen on this board blueteam (decision making probably isn't your strong suit, but I bet you have a lot of friends).

News just in, Smokin Joe will definately be there.  Last time out they smoked the ASCS boys, lets see how they do out west.  Yakima is the most dry slick of any of the west coast race tracks and that's how Smokin Joe likes em...:)

Which story did he tell you-and it better not be the one where he sat in a vinyl recliner in cat poo (many, many years ago-the story is called "why I hate cats, by Bill Nutter")! Or my encounter with the possum in my kitchen this summer!

Don't double down on that bet!  :)

I just don't have a favorite driver out there - yet.;)  I like any of those numbskulls....er, I mean brave persons who go out there and put on a show for the fans.

All of those guys and their teams ROCK!
