It's called "Ladies & Gentlemen" by Saliva. They are credited at the end of the video....

Yeah... gotta figure out the music thing for next time. Unfortunately... I'm usually not crazy about the license free stuff. Maybe I can just write Saliva or Disturbed or one of those guys and ask 'em to just make me a special song for my video.... for free of course.... I'll just smile at 'em real pretty....
Although.... I think better editing software needs to come first before I work on my pretty smile....
I still have 4 licenses for Final Cut Pro left from a competition i won in High School, id be willing to part with one. And also, in the past ive had really good luck with hitting up myspace, looking for the really small bands, the unkowns, they have alot of good work and they are cheap...most are willing to let ya use there songs with just the promise of crediting them.
Hey thanks. I think you've just volunteered to be my manager...
I specialize in sales, i call it 'No Bulls*it Solicitation'. =) Email if you wanna talk more in detail.

Why should she be discouraged even if it was posted on Youtube or not? I don't see nothing wrong with her video, everything looks good, and was done extremely well.
That video was done extremely well, everything went together, and I like how she got audio clips of interviews, and videos. That was cool
Keep up the good work!
Frizzy - I agree with SCF2007. Your video(with Starla and Johns video/photog help) was outstanding, and shows the passion and caring that is needed to exhibit a quality production for NW drivers, series, and tracks.
THANK YOU for your time and effort to GIVE/bring it to us.

frizzy wrote: Actually...... for probably 80% of the population..... YouTube quality is plenty good....... as long as you view it in the "watch in high quality" mode. I agree... "Watch in standard mode" sucks major a$$ on YouTube . And the 10 minute maximum (video length) is totally fine for my music video purposes. I swear I'm ADHD!!!! Show me all the best parts in less than ten minutes.... 'cause my attention span isn't going to last very long staring at my computer watching a race I can't fully enjoy unless I'm there....
The problems I had with my video happened in the crappy (but free) editing software..... long before posting to YouTube....
Thanks for the tips though...
most likely alot more than 80 %. Great job Frizzy oh I mean HWF.

wow. the video was really good. loved it. we need to figure out a way to get you up to deming to put together one of these montages. to bad clay cup and speedweek are on the same weekend. deming did all it could to try and not coincide with speedweek. i believe initially speedweek was going to take up two weekends. so deming chose which weekend would work best for them. then it turned out speeweek was only taking one weekend. sucks for everyone but what ya gonna do. let me know when you think you might be able to make it up to deming. i'm sure starla would help with video seeing as she is there every week.
wow that video was just awesome. thanks for the entertainment.

in 2008 Speedweek was never going to take two weekends. I agree it is to bad its the same weekend. Both events should be great.

I was commenting on the issue of video quality on the net - not at all on her video. Frizzy did a great job on her montage - she had considerable quantities of individual content segments - that takes a great deal of time to organize, assemble, edit - what was best about this montage was she did a really nice job of "pace" - which I enjoyed the most from the technical build of the video.
The inter-net was never intended to deliver video. In fact, the inter-net is really a low tech means of delivering video. Even with Broadband. Microsoft is quietly attempting to change this, however, it is a long road ahead.
Flash has become the defacto standard. It is what I plan on switching to by next spring, or the start of the 09 season. Again, DIVX is by far the best format for delivery of inter-net video, and remains the best kept secret among video buffs.
Of all video formats, you tube and google have the worst encoding, and you just can't escape the loss in quality when posting to you tube.
Several folks are trying to create inter-net TV - mogulus.com, and Veoh.com are two that are emerging. However, they suck on their conversion encoding also, in my opinion.
To find inter-net video quality you end up with Microsoft TV (MSNBC) (which strangely enough uses flash video) ABC, and TNT. Fearnet.com, which is a comcast development site catering to the horror genre, uses flash and does a really nice job.
A little known, and never seen piece of software is Microsoft's Producer. It is a plug in for PowerPoint. It has an amazing encoding codex that retains amazing quality of video at really small file sizes. Meanwhile, Microsofts own answer to Flash is Silverlight, and only time will tell if Silverlight will take hold.

There is a codec out there used by alot of machinima users. CCCP Codecs, and the .mkv format, DRASTICALLY reduces file size with VERY good quality. Only downsize is, it takes alot of computer power.

and the best things about Frizzy's video is I didn't have to be a computer engineer to see it. No waiting 30 mins to download a file. No space taken up on my computer. OH, and it showcased the drivers and people who actually participated in the title of the video. No commercials. I don't care for commercials.

When I first posted the video.... "watch in high quality" was not an option for a couple hours for some reason. Watching the video in "standard quality" on YouTube was just terrible, so that's why I posted that statement. I was definitely a little nervous that "standard YouTube quality" was gonna be people's only choice for watching the video... Standard YouTube quality sucks a$$!!!
But............ after a couple hours, "watch in high quality" became an option. The only major difference between the high quality YouTube version and my original verson on my computer is screen size. Most of the quality of the video was lost in the production phase when trying to convert three different video formats into a format I could edit.
If I can just get a quality video editor/converter......... YouTube with high quality playback will be plenty good for any of my videos......... and good in that it is extremely accessible to people of all levels of computer/internet technologies. I mean seriously... when I went back to Ohio last year for the Prelude to the Dream.... I talked to TONS of people that said dial-up was their only internet option in the area they lived in. Try watching a huge video file with dial-up........ without committing suicide!!!!
Of course I want to create something that is visually pleasing... but just as importantly... I want to create something to share with people from all different economical levels of the technological world. Being able to share with people in some of the most remote areas of the world some of the excitement we are blessed with in NW dirt track racing is definitely worth a slight reduction in image quality.... IMO...

Youtube is a great service, it lets people share great works like this. I just hope it survives the tangle with Viacom.

Youtube is a awesome website, where we can post are videos for free, and not charge anyone to see them.
Frizzy, the high quality option comes up after like 2 hours after it's uploaded, I think it is a great feature, and notice it takes little to none out of videos i've watched. No matter what, I think your video was done extremely well. I have watched it maybe 15 times already, it's just awesome

It's called "Ladies & Gentlemen" by Saliva. They are credited at the end of the video....
Saliva are drag racing fans and the NHRA uses that song in it's broadcasts and commercials. It's a great song.
Excellent job on the video.
