Also - we need to another road trip in that fashion. Would be awesome if we could drag my dad with too, but he's kind of a fuddy-duddy about travel.

That would be the best.  Had such a good time that day.  It's too bad I'm suddenly poor or else we could do it again for sure.  We'll see what happens next year, yeah? :)

I am a sprint car fan, but the Hornets are fine and they give a guy a chance to race. But always blaming them for the flat tires is rediculous. Louie showed me the collection of "junk" he picks up on the track during the week. Almost every piece was off a sprint car. Broken rotors, jagged torsion arm pieces, nose wing mounts and the biggest tire cutter of all is the part number plates that vibrate off the sprint car mufflers.

It doesn't matter, we're all having fun! Have a great winter.

If you ever get a chance to, you should. It is fun, and is allot more than meets the eye in all aspects of a hornet and trying to race one. Almost anyone I've heard knock our class, then drove one. Came out with allot more respect for what we "make" these cars do. It is a blast and I hope that you get a chance to try one out sometime.

Kelly Hart wrote: Honestly it was a generic conversation, and really was meant more about not having cars on the track racing. I'd rather watch a race, of two shoeboxes than listen to any announcer; be it Kaleb Hart, Fred Rannard, Johnny Gibson, Randy Pratt, Scott Ellsworth, Ron Bennett, George Hague or any announcer talk on and on and on. I go to the track to watch racing, not hear announcers. That was what I was referring to. No offense to any of those guys because they all in their own right do a whale of a job. But I am not there because you are in the announce booth. Okay, maybe with Kaleb, but come on he is my kid and I can be a proud parent.

I have told the promoters that hire me this is my philosophy: No one comes to a racetrack to hear the announcer, but they might stay home because of one.

More racing, less announcer talking. That is my key to a great race night.

Much agreed.  I've just been around a lot of people that don't care for Fred and thought that might be a hint.  All though I also believe it wouldn't be racing without the announcer!!!  And while some may drone on and on I love the look on my daughters face when it's almost to the A main of an ASCS race and Fred Rannard says "Someone lock the door, quickly batton down the hatches, it's gonna get wild".  She thinks that is the greatest part of the night, unless of course Travis Rutz wins the race then all is forgotten.  You announcers have a tough job and you keep us entertained when there is a break in the action, so great job to all!!

Fred would have to be my all time fav announcer for several reasons.  One he always has something to say.  Two he knows info no one else knows.  Three as a car owner he makes sure that everyone knows who your sponsors are.  This being very important as they pay to be on your car to get recognized.  Four as a track owner he makes sure everyone one of your customers for the night realizes that they should be buying souvenirs, food and my fav beer.  There is nothing worse then sitting at a track and listening to music when you could be hearing about all of these wonderful things.  I want to know how close the point race is and what the line up is for the next race.  These things are important to me.

Well I guess I'm lucky cause I'm off to Yakima for the weekend to hear good ol' Fred announce.  See ya all there.

Oh nothing personal Kaleb.  You should know I love ya. :P Your still on my list of fav people.  I just don't like music when I could be hearing about racecars.  But I know you don't have much say over that kind of thing everywhere you work.  Plus you stopped playing "ladies and gentleman".  Love that song.

Speaking of AC/DC, they are playing Key Arena on November 29th, and the Tacoma Dome on the 30th, and Metallica is playing Key Arena on the 1st of December:)

Whoa whoa whoa. AC/DC is just as good with Brian Johnson, as with Bon Scott. I been a AC/DC fan since age 5, seen em live once, and will always be a big fan, for the rest of my life

Maybe you should check your facts before opening your mouth. The pile of Sprint car parts pulled off the track far outweighs the pile of Hornet parts.

Cant we all just get along and just race? Or watch? Wassup! We all are not going any where, so just live and love it. How about those awesome sunsets that take place right over the track every race? We should enjoy thing like this, we don't live forever! Peace! Live and Love! I'll take it!!!!!
