We'll after this weekend's unpredictable storm the expression " Mad as a hornet " must be ringing true. So many cars being prep ed and eager to go,some even have been coming back out of hiding. So the #1 question do they get the chance to run this weekend or is the hive closed til next season?

Mr. Hart has said it best under the topic US Hornet Nationals/Demo Derby/Enduro at Skagit Speedway. About the out look of the hornets.
It was a great season and we enjoyed working with so many wonderful drivers out there . Now it's time to focus on the off season and gear up for 2009 .
We will be working diligently on the off season to get our race site up and fully functioning, updating drivers, pictures, swags, deals and so much more. So be on the look out Racers & Race Fans.

Well? I gotta tell you. I am TOTALY hooked on racing! It's like being at a party, getting your drink on, just starting to feel good and finding out you're drinking your last drink. So? as a racer, I will try to find a race or two I can hit before the snow hits the ground. Then my plans are to strip down my car totaly. I plan on re-skinning everything I can. I plan on repainting it as well. Not sure on the color yet, but it will not be orange/black next year. I plan on retaining my number. Engine/transaxle will both be rebuilt by my sponsor, and as an honest man. Yes they WILL be built to factory specs throughout. I may not have the fastest car on the track, but it is a dependable car and fast enough. Maybe with a fresh drive train and some way better pill draws, next year i may place higher than 5th in the points race. I am totaly happy to be 5th in points this year. In a car that only has 127 HP/TQ. I thought about a new car, and maybe a faster one. But why change what works? Thank you everyone for the great racing and all the great times and all the kind words. So as to the end of a great season. I look forward to doing it all over again next year. I wish you all well in your hopes of a great car next year. See you all soon.

We should build one for every race next year so you never start a race with a bad engine! Lol. HEY! NHRA style sir! I miss all that HP. I should put another drag car together. Naw! Trading paint and bumpers ( well you taking mine off) with you guy's is the best. I will settle for the lack of power to have the fun I have with all of you. Somethimes fun doesn't have to be fast!

Toyota cel-ick-a? No way! Too fast! It would beat my car, and I would have to work hard to keep him from passing me.... Oh wait! I have to do that with the one he has now!

| Anything other than STD is over stock spec's sir! But when rebuilding, you cant stay STD. Just dont go after market or porting and you will be ok. Stay OEM.

| Hey all. We have 2 more hornet races here in Port Angeles before our season ends. Our season championship is this Saturday (9/27) and on October 4 we have our final race of the year (I believe we're going to run all the 4-cylinder cars together - Hornets and Fever 4s) Come on over and get one or two more races in before the end!!! We run rain or shine.

Adam! Earth to Adam! Up here in the woods, we(when I say we, I mean you) may call them side boards. But in the city, they are called rear wings. Lol!

True that! Can you find stronger rear hubs for those cars? Land yahts.... I mean, really big hornet cars are hard on those parts. You and your car should have finished ahead of me in points. Your car just didn't hold up. Same with goodwrencher. Cant wait to see the new car. with olds, at least you will have more power.

We're all talking about it. It's just a mater of coming up with the cash to do it. Depending on how many people per car/owner. Cost is $350-$600+ We all save up through the yr for your Nat's. None of us have planned for the end of the season. We have a blast on and off the track over there. So we WILL try to do what we can. Thank you for another great invite. Hope we pull it off.

OH! I KNOW! Well? Maybe not! So I will guess at it. You are going to sponsor at least one payout for the Hornet class next year? If anyone would ever like to sponsor a payout for our class, Please call steve at skagitspeedway. You would be able to donate any amount. And if I remember correctly, Steve would let you say how much goes to what finish. Like all to first, or split between the top three or five. I would like to see how this class would do with payouts. At least once?

Not quite sure yet. But I am thinking of.....Well? just not sure sir! I will tell you that I am not using a two stage paint, it will be a one stage. Maybe a dark color with racing stripes? Silver? No, not dark enough. Still ruff drafting in my head sir. Will chage often till i get knee deep in primer, then it will be locked in at that point. My street legal race car will more less decide what I do with the hornet car. As I want it to look like the mucle car I paint up. It may be a 66-67 chevelle that will house my nasty 468cid big block chevy engine that keeps braking trucks. Sorry! got off track. yeah, the hornet paint will be disclosed at a later date. It's all I got right now sir.

| P.S. On payouts. You would also get allot of plugs through the night as to who or what business has sponsored the class.
