I just got home.
I was the only Skagit car there and I had a great time, Merritt speedway had the best track surface I have run on all year, smooth well packed not flaky mushy rutty or any of the other stuff we had at Skagit. We had plenty of good cleasn side by side raceing both nights. I don't know what the official results are, overall for the 2 nights I finished pretty low on points, had some bad luck and driver error Saturday but Sunday turned out allot better.
They combined the hornet and Bomber classes because there were only about 5 bombers and I think 12 hornets, most of the hornets came from Agasiz and a few from republic. Sunday night I managed to finish with only one of the V8 powered bombers in front of me. If all my e-mails come through I should be getting some links to videos posted on u-tube and hopefully the finishing order for both nights.
Now, I am contemplating taking the car back up to Canada this next weekend to Clear Water. They tell me its about 2 hours further then Merritt. They invited me and all the other cars to there last race of the year. I have to look into my funding and figure out where this track is for sure before I decide but I think my car can handle one more weekend of racing.............

[edit] I forgot to mention the semi trucks they let out on the track after all the other races Sunday! I guess some people got to bragging around the fire Saturday night about they're trucks so they decided to settle it by giving about 6 full size semi trucks 2 full speed qualifying laps on the track, I have no idea who won but it was great to watch!

Sweet! sounds like you had a blast. Well you made it back. How's the truck? Wish I could have gone myself. Just couldn't swing it this time around. Maybe next year?
