Was this a surprise to you?  I was there at the "nuptuals", I am sure that was just one of the many photos taken, maybe H2H will post others.

Sorry you couldn't make it, was very nice to see folks from both tracks, (so to speak), seen folks I have not seen for some time, the music was great, everyone looked so nice and the ceremony was great and the bride was beautiful.   :)

It was an excellent night and I am very honored to have been there. Made driving Stevens Pass at night worth the drive.

The music was great, Debbie walked or "strutted" down the isle to "She Loves You", and a lot of old time music at the reception.  Good to see Kelly there as well.

I agree Kelly, it was an incredible night, and I also felt honored to have been there. Was good seeing you & Kaleb, & also meeting the Mrs. Didn't get to meet Katie tho. Deb looked INCREDIBLE, and I don't think I have seen Steve w/ a smile that big (CurtK said something about that as well during the recepton). Definitely felt like a "racing reunion" seeing so many peopled that haven't seen in a long time (good seeing you too racemom). :)

I agree Annette....was a great night. Other than seeing 2 people very happy I think the best part of the ceremony was the 3 little girls walking down the aisle handing out flowers.....was so cute made ya wanna cry.....lol.

I think it was about a year ago that I told Kelly.....you watch and see what happens. No surprises here at all.

I'm sorry I didn't get to actually meet some of the folks from the board but I did get a chance to chat with Brian Thomas and a few others. Hadn't seen Will Kennedy forever either. And I don't want to forget Andrew.....hey now that you are back up this way holler and I'll meet ya for dinner sometime.

It's going to be a very interesting racing year coming up! There's a lot of ticked off people right now, should be fun to watch the fall out. Congrats to Debbie & Steve. I for one am glad that racing in the NW can unite again.

I hate weddings, and I still refuse to dance even though that disappointed a few people (including the bride)...a very nice evening otherwise ;). The three little girls (two grandaughters and a grandniece) were adorable. Debbie looked very lovely and I'd never seen Steve, aka instant grandpa, so dagum happy.

Very nice seeing Curt Kern, Annette, the Hart Family, Palowicz Family, Samuelson Family, Wil Kennedy, George Wade, Larry Kelly, the Husons, Homer, etc. as well as just about the entire Brownfield clan (Carrie, Shelby, Jessica, Ty and their families)

I learned that No. 13 (or some other high number) in the you-know-what department is on the way too. What did Debbie put in her kids' drinks when they were growing up? If I'm dispening news that shouldn't be given yet, my execution date is set for whenever I come across a member of that family again. :D

I still think Seth should've had his gal pal there as his date in a hot dress instead of just a friend in casual clothing. Sorry buddy, had to say it and you needed to be told that ;). You and Austin were dressed like studs.

a lot of people fought the battle for many years and as the article in the Olympian said, many may not be willing to bury the hatchet. I for one am excited to see a uniting of nw racing.

Anybody not willing to bury the hatchet needs to get over themselves. The principles in the "Hatfield v McCoy" thing have settled and moved in a new direction. Time for everyone else to follow their lead.

And I'm with Inlaws...this is nothing but a positive for NW Sprint Car Racing. '09 should be awesome!

I want to throw an idea out there that would be awesome from a fans perspective that might now be possible with a united racing world although I'm not sure if it would make sense financially. What if skagit and elms worked together on a weekly basis and had regular points races on different nights? What if one track ran on Friday nights for half the year while the other track went on saturdays. At the midpoint you could switch nights. Again not sure if it makes sense financially but maybe is the type of thing that we could see with this uniting? How many drivers and fans do you think would do both nights?

I'd love to go to both...... but I work until 6:30pm (in Seattle area) on Fridays. Wouldn't be able to make the Friday ones without taking vacation time every single week. :(

Congrats to Steve and Debbie by the way! :D

Might look great from a fans perspective, but it would never work. If ASCS rules were the standard for the Northwest, 360 racing might be united. As far as the rest of the classes go, an occassional trip to another track might be possible, but to many classes make for a long night and alot of owners/drivers choose a home track due to proximity. That would make it almost impossible to compete in points if you could not travel.

Congrats to Debbie and Steve.

Years and Years ago there were races both on Friday at Sky Valley and Skagit on Saturday.  If I am not mistaken, I don't think Steve can run every Friday night.  Some county thing maybe, but they could have changed.   Another reason Friday nights  don't work well, is because people work and can't get to the races, and sports, mostly in Skagit Valley, sports are a big deal and if there are games, you won't see as many folks at the track.  My thoughts anyway.

Another reason that its not a great idea to have racing on a weekly basis on friday nights is Deming runs friday nights. There are plenty of fans and a handful of drivers that pull double duty. How can that be better for sprint car racing when you would be taking away from yet another track...

Working together sounds great. As for uniting- I didn't know that Brownfield still had ownership of Elma???

My thoughts exactly,  Congrats to the newlyweds!  But correct me if I`m wrong,  I think WTG from Tennesee still runs GHR and George Wade is in charge. Right?  What influence does Debbie have at GHR? or ASCS?  I think it`s great that the Brownfield/ Bietler "thing" is over, but let`s not confuse that with having anything to do with the Skagit/ GHR "thing".

It was great to see Steve and Debbie so happy. From talking with them this summer, the news wasn't surprising, but the speed was a bit. Then again, we're talking two racin' people so maybe the speed should have been expected. ;)

Congratulations to Steve and Debbie!

It was a great night and the couples fun loving personalities came out in the planning. Great sound track and ceremony as well as what a great gathering of friends and family from the racing community.

We wish them many years of happiness and great memories together!

Actually it was Skagit on Fridays and Sky Valley on Saturday.  If I remember it wasn't till 75 that they switched days.  I preferred it that way back then as I could do the races Friday and then have the rest of the weekend to do other things, which quite often was Sky Valley.

I guess all I can say is  "Steve, You are one lucky Dawg!"  As far as the Friday VS Saturday racing at Sky @ Skagit If someone wants to look it up I went to membership meetings with both clubs in the late 60s or early 70s and suggested a switch as the guys down south( Me ) had a tough time getting to Skagit on Friday after work ( No Freeway then) and there would be a better car count at each track if they switched. Somehow ? they agreed and it was done,  Best wishes to Steve and Debbie
