| they did the same sort of thing with tires a few years ago.... it's really stupid to dump something like that when half the field is doing it and nobody gets a chance to fix it. Go ahead and let everyone know there's a problem and they need to get it fixed by the next race. Then if they want to DQ everyone go for it. No wonder so many people have given up on racing out there......

not a big mystery as to why car counts continue to drop in most divisions with decisions like this.
for crying out loud, the class is the least expensive to run and had already seen their counts down from last year (makes no sense being that jps closed-would think they would have picked up a few from there). so now something like this is done? crazy!

Scott-s
It's to bad that you make all these posts without knowing all the facts! Rules are to be enforced equally to every one. The car count is down due to the economy. Most racers that have a Bumblebee are family sponsored and a BB is the only type of race car that they will ever have. You take a gallon of milk $4.00, bread 2/$5.00,gas $4.00 a gallon ext, ext that extra $100.00 that you had to go racing is now used to take care of their families and their race car will set until they can afford it. I know that is why the car count is down and there are a few that are unhappy about the rules being enforced on them . No matter what you do you will not ever make everyone happy. Scott-s, feel free to stop by tech after a race. There are two sides to every story.

john,
obvioulsy the economy is down, but that is precisely why you shouldn't incorporate rule changes half way through a season. if this is not the case, then i apologize to you for that. but it seems to be the prevailing thought on here, including from some 'in the know'.
looking very forward to saturday's show (weather permitting----if rained out, will race be run sunday? i know it probably won't but....).
time permitting will be glad to stop by tech.
thanks,
scott

It wasn't a rule change, just a change in enforcing the rules. I know when I was racing bees that most of my cost was in gas so I'm not suprised the car count went down, but this doesn't help. If something like this were in the superstocks or something like that then I understand, but this is the bumblebees.... I think just being consistent week to week is really the most important thing, and if you're going to change how something is enforced then let everyone know so they can make a change if they need to.
Stuff like this may just chase a few people right down the road to Elma...

Biggy;
Is a phone call 3 weeks before your next race from the technial director enough notice to fix the problem?

| If that's the case then yup it is plenty of time. Nobody had said anything about it though. Thanks for making that clear.
