I am thinking very seriously about going. Are you going to be there? Maybe we could get a good showing of NWRACETALK members there.

Good I will make plans to be there. I already talked to my wife, boss, and she said she would like to go. Do you know if you can camp at the track? We may tow up the trailer if there is going to be some after racing chat.

I'm thinking of going since it is just a 15 minute drive from my house...but I can hardly justify a $20 ticket.

NSRA and WMRA are there together, so two purses having to be paid will likely result in a higher ticket price. I'll be there Saturday, and Deming also the night before.

I can understand people not wanting to pay $20 for an adult ticket, but not me. Anytime I can get a chance to see asphlat sprints and midgets the caliber of the NSRA and WMRA, plus two stock car classes I am going to do it. I kind of look at it this way; 2 adult movie tickets $16 plus $6 for the kid equals $22 for 90 to 120 minutes of possible entertainment. I can get around 6 hours of entertainment for $45 at the race track. Now tell me where you would rather be. In a dark movie theater not able to talk or at the race track with your family and/or friends whooping it up cheering for your favorite drivers. It is a no brainer for me. Of course my wife says that everything is a no brainer for me, I have not quite figured out what she means by that.

No disrespect meant to you "DJR#22", this is just my opinion about going to the races.

It's hard to type sarcasm.  Right now I think I'll be there, I've always loved watching open wheels at sss...and I'd like to see Tom Sweatman win his third super stock race in a row.

Yes, sarcasm does not translate well through the keyboards. There should be a "sarcasm emoticon" for it, so people do not get the wrong idea. Of course for me I could use the "confused" emoticon and it would work for me most of the time.

For my money, there is no better show on asphalt in the Northwest than NSRA and WMRA together. I'm almost kinda jealous.

Yep, the old man will be racing his dwarf with PHRA July 8th and I'll be with him. Told him he'll get to meet you (and maybe Netters again) that night.

$40 for a Pit Pass? South Sound Speedway must be paying the purse through the back gate receipts- it doesn't make sense. But, a $20 ticket for WMRA & NSRA is an entertainment value!

Maybe Butch will read in between the lines of this post.

See ya there.

Really nice, but brief tributes to Rory, Bill, Freddie, and one other individual. 2 360's & 2 midgets did the memorial laps.

Nice contingent from Elma roaming the grounds last night. Nice seeing Jay Cole, "Big Wally Racing" Randy Ward, Dan Dunlap, Linda Seidleman, AND Bob "Mr." Valencia as well. Had to smile when I saw Bob there. :) Really felt good seeing everyone last night, and to see some racing.

Really enjoyed meeting CurtK as well (thank you Kunas for introducing me to him).....

Thanks to nobby & Andrew for the in between (and during) race entertainment, err company..... ;)

20+ midgets & 20+ 360s.

Throwing your helmet @ another sprint car, only to have it get stuck; PRICELESS!!!!:)

Charge of the night, Andy Alberding, who initially started up front, but was involved in a wreck in the initial start. Came from the back to finish 4th, w/ bent equipment to boot.

Nice tribute to Rory Price afterwards in the pits.

Golly gee, Netters, not one word about the thrilling Hobby Stocks race (which was actually pretty good, with the 10 car coming from the back to win that feature) or the awesome 75 lap Super-Duper-Stock car feature (which I missed, because that was enough time to drive to Centralia, have a steak and a beer, a massage and cigar while still making it back for the last 20 laps).

Shame, Shame, Shame ON YOU!!!!!

I know SSS considers the Super Stocks their premier division, but wouldn't 50 laps have been MORE than enough with 2  premier traveling groups in attendance?  I didn't see many people leave before the NSRA feature, and a quick scan of the parking lot suggests that that group travels extremely well, as does WMRA.

Not intended as a 'bash' for those of you with thin skins, more of an observation.

After all, it's just one mans opinion, and worth exactly what you paid for it....

Not trying to dog SSS, but I think the Super Stocks got in more than 100 laps if you count all those cautions!  I think I would have dusted off that black flag for some of those knotheads that wouldn`t get in the correct positions!  Very good racing last night!  That was my first time at SSS and we had fun!!  Netter`s,  I think said helmet is history after going about a lap dragging on pavement!!! lol.   I have to figure out who you guys are so I can say howdy sometime!  BTW..... The dust cloud after cleaning up the front straight wreck, almost made me feel at home.  I tried to get closer so some would settle on my beer and shirt so I would feel like I was at a sprint car race!lol  It was fun even if I did stay clean!:D:D:D
