Our Annual Run What Ya Brung race is this weekend..........

Gates open at 11....qualifying is around 2:30......

Pit passes are:
$40 for driver/car which includes a RYWB t-shirt and
$25 for all crew members

Sportsman & Street Stocks will be combined and there are 2 drivers allowed per car.........all other divisions will have races according to their car counts!

Depending on car counts...I will be scheduling 40 laps for the A mains....so come on out for a fun day of racing!

Hope to see ya all there!
It's always an "interesting" time!!

I have never been, but thinking of going.  What kind of different cars do you normally get?  Do they compete across divisions? For example, modifieds on the track with Late Models?  Dwarfs with 4 cyl. ?

We had a great showing of cars.....and ended with a full 16 car D main for the SP/SS combined division!!  We had some Dirt Late Models show up and they raced against some of our Modifieds who seemed to fair very well against them.....

The Micro-sprints, women's, 4-cylinders and hardtops were also there and the derby was a big hit at the end of the night!!

35 races total for the night.....with lots of "action".....

Congrats to all the winners........official results to follow...........

That would be Rick "the animal" Zuvich. A Cottage Grove modified with the side boards attached.

The side Boards are from the old POSSE days. When the cars were super stocks. Stock Front clip with big boards.

He has been running at Cottage Grove since getting out of High School in 77, 78, or 79. I can't remember it was just a few years before me.

Hey Rick.....glad to hear you enjoy the annual Run What Ya Brung......it's always an interesting race....especially when you get different types of cars running together!  Happy to hear that you were treated well by the fans & racers!!

As far as the "big Mod race" I don't think that's a "normal" thing....a sponsor had actually put up a couple of hundred "extra" dollars....then within minutes we had the purse up to $1300 to win  .....but if I hear of something being planned for next year....I'll definitely post it!!  :)

Enjoy your "off-season".....personally right now, I'm kinda glad it's over....but come January/February, I'll be wishing it was back!! :D;)

See ya next year..........

Donna (head scorer)

I don't have much planned for this weekend!  And it's kind of a nice feeling!!  :D  My brother's hosting a poker party at his house.....but I think I might be going over to "hang" with some friends in Oregon City, cuz Curt is going hunting with his dad!!  October will be busy with hunting....so this is pretty much my "weekend off"....:?:D  So I have to take advantage of the free time when I got it!!

Do ya got any BIG plans for the weekend?

Thanks for asking!!

Our weekend ended Thursday evening in our shop!  While tuning the LM, the cam broke!!:(:(:(  We did go to SOS.........AWESOME RACING!!  Chance was hired to pit for a LM driver and that was a good thing as it kept his mind off of his own misfortune.   And he was sponsored a ride for the Early Thaw in Arizona!!  A really nice ride!!   Whoo-Hoo!!  Things happen for a reason.  If our motor hadn't of broke, he wouldn't have gotten the ride;)  Chance also bought a new set of heads for our motor while at SOS so all in all, it did turn out to be a wonderful weekend for us!

Thanks!  Nothing is etched in stone as of yet.  If the new ride doesn't pan out, Chance will be out and about in his DLM with a sweet new motor in 2008;)
