I don't know much about this division myself, but here are the rules that I've pulled off the website........

2007 Demolition Derby / Paint to Pass Rules

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern all CCRA events. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from publications of, or compliance with these rules and/or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators, or others.

General/Safety

1.

All rules must be followed or car/driver will not be allowed to participate.

2.

If vehicle does not pass inspection or driver is not willing to change vehicle to pass tech, then they will not be allowed to participate in competition, with no refund of the entry fee. All cars are subject to re-inspection after competition and before official results are posted.

3.

All drivers must be a minimum age of sixteen (16). Any driver under the age of eighteen (18) must have a properly executed parental consent form signed and notarized for admission to event.

4.

Helmets are required, approved SHCA or Snell 90; helmets must be worn any time car is on the track.

5.

Clothing of a flame retardant nature should be worn by all competitors. Fire suits are strongly recommended. All drivers must provide coverage from ankle to wrist.

6.

Seatbelts are required - two shoulder belts, two lap belts and anti-submarine belt (five point harness). Must be securely fastened to car.

7.

All competitors will be on a timer, NO SANDBAGGING. You must keep making contact with other competitors, Officials/Judges will determine whether cars are moving and hitting to stay in competition. Restart time of one (1) minute will be allowed, if cars do not restart in issued amount of time competitors will be considered finished.

8.

NO DRIVER DOOR HITS, sometimes it may happen, but if determined careless and/or intentional, competitor will be disqualified.

9.

Any questions, call first, if it does not say you can do it, don’t do it!

10.

All decision by officials/judges is final.

All cars must be removed from the premises at the end of the event. Any vehicle left at the track without permission, will result in a fine that will be posted to the driver and/or the registered owner.

Safety is the most important part. All cars will be heavily inspected.

HAVE FUN and BE CAREFUL!!
