Don't put it as just Sprint cars put it as Nonwing Sprint Cars. You may get as may as went to Lebanon. I heard it pays $)) amount to win. Early report is not many of the ODSS cars are going.

It does say non wing sprint cars.  And who gives a f$$$ how many ODS cars are there??  No offense here but if yall aint racing...there is a race that close...dunno what to tell ya.  Ya ya ya I know what went on in the past...and that was BS.  But there are two sides to every story.  Let it rest and go racing.

If the ODSS truly wants to get back into Banks, I would think it would be of great benefit to that cause for them to support this race. Wouldn't the promoter be more ameniable to scheduling your group next year, if he sees that you really WANT to run there? Seems like there needs to be some give and take here. The promoter is "taking" the chance and putting on the race, it's up to the racers now to "give" the support.

And like MandG says, you aren't going to get a race much closer for most of you.

My two cents.

I recall at one time you were a big supporter of the pre-USCS management group and their "invitational" races at Sunset. When the same started promoting Sunset there was a lot of effort to make sure a fair and competitive field was in place with the sprint car invitational.

Now they've branched out and the ODS is supporting their sanctioned races with an excellent car count. It would be reasonable to think if Sunset was on their schedule, they would be there. But it's not, so let it be.

What business is it of yours if members of the ODS choose not to support the non-sanctioned race at Sunset?

And if the past, is truly supposed to be considered in the past, like you've stated it should be for the ODS. Then maybe it should be that way for everybody involved. Wouldn't you agree it should apply to EVERYBODY?

WHAT!  Banks still has races?   Haven`t been there in years!  I`m gonna have to get myself one of those fake glasses, nose and moustache to wear there in a couple weeks for the ASCS race!  Just in case some of the same officials are still around from the last time I was there!  I think I told him where he could put his racetrack?:D

I believe it was three years ago... Went there on a sprint and midget night,  I sat thru Steet Stock , Womens division and Pro Four features with endless cautions then they said thanks for coming we don`t have time for Midgets and Sprints Amains.  I told an official wearing white and yellow (with Sunset Speedway embroidered)  that We had come to see sprints and midgets race so why not limit the other filler stuff so those cars at least get to race the A mains!  I was told, and I quote..." Thats how we do things here.  If you don`t like it, don`t come back"   I sent an E mail to the Speedway and the Walters and recieved no response what so ever from anyone.  So why go back! :D  I think it was two years ago I attempted to go to a "Back to the Fifties" night.  I got there at 6:00 and proceded to wait in a line that streched to darn near the highway,  I finally gave up at about 7:30 and most of the heats had been completed!   That was the last attempt.  I`m not one who looks for things to complain about, I usually just enjoy the racing! And I gladly lay out a lot of money to enjoy my favorite passtime.  I have no complaints about the other half dozen or so tracks I frequent. And I will be there for the ASCS race, and I`m hoping for the best!:D

I was there last night.  The line was short and fast and the weather was questionable so they dumped some qualifying .  It was a good show with some really great racing.  I thought staff and racers did a really nice job.  I look forward to going back during speedweek.
