It's a dream come true...... the under dog pulls it out of the pitts and wins against the 410 offset modifieds. The offsets, which I have always thought of as the "bad ***" of all asphalt oval racing, were there to kick butt on any upright sprinters. After the race I'm sure their were a few surprised fans and "shoes" out there.  I know I am somewhat bias on my feelings about this win for the sprinter, not only because of being the underdog but because of Jake Mann being my son. It was a true honor for my family and Jake to win against the "Bad Asses of Asphalt" last night. What a victory.......

That was a BADASS drive. After the much ballyhooed "World Record" lap never came close. Jake was on rails and was hooked up and haulin'. WVSO46 what happened to you??? And what was up with a 30 Lap Hornet race??? All in all a great run by the 51 car Jake was bringing it. The money boys and girls tore up some gear last night, and what happened to Troy Regier's ride???? That thing just grenaded on the front stretch. Great night. except for the announcer he was AWFUL!!!!

Well I was running in 6th when a car had spun and was sitting sideways in turn 2 but no yellow, I figured he would stay put or roll down the banking so I go high, but NO he pulls up right in front of me wiping out my susupension.

Congrats Jake Mann.

Bo, that is a nice young man you have raised and hell of a race car driver.

Thank you Kelly.....we are very proud of him....I'm glad he takes after his mother with his driving skills or maybe it is my driving skills and his mothers brains to think about things a little more and not throttle down when in doubt.......that last part was some bad advice when I was racing. Thanks again, hope to meet you in Sept. at Monroe on the 5/8.

Is this the same Bo Mann that use to run up at Skagit??  As a long time open wheel fan it seems to me that you were pretty good on the clay yourself.  I'm trying to shake the dust off the memory banks, but was your number the same as Myron Gemmer and what years did you race?  Kelly Nicholas/Stanwood, WA

Kelly; You guessed it.....the old crowd pleaser......always doing something to give the crowd a thrill.  I raced in 83 with Myron's old modified and it was #8 and then came back in 92 in a 410. It was #8 the first year and then 88.  Now it's nice to see my son Jake, doing so well.  Good memory.... we will be coming up to Wa. for the race in Sept. at the monroe fairgrounds on the 5/8 mile.....that should be a great race.

Yeah, Bo & I had that discussion the other day too. The 88 w/ Randy Ridge behind the wheel. Think Randy's son Cody ran the 88 for a while @ Deming as well before changing to the 12.

Jake has done very well, Bo. Still smile when I think about the race @ South Sound back in June, when he came from mid pack in 12(!) laps to run away w/ it (and lapping, or darn near lapping the black 15 of Craig Deaver to boot). Looked at the people we were sitting w/, and the exact words were, "Are you seeing this?" It was definitely a thing of beauty. Not only Jake's run, but the racing mid pack too. And the crowd reaction too made it even sweeter, imo.
