In my presonal openion the ministock race started lookin like a jcar race at a couple times.  There were a few drivers who need to learn to back off and learn when the approiate time is.  I avoided 3 wrecks where I wouldve probably taken my car home tore up. I would rather loose  and have a good time then have a ball of steel on my car trailer to take home

I think first timers should start mains scratch with ribbons for two races, When i did the safety tech on the 17 he told me he had never been in a race car, if we had put him in the back it might have saved some carnage . i think he got into the 71 also later in the race , and yes steve i also think guys should not try to win races on the first few turns MY KID AS WELL .

I personally know the driver of the old quadell car for quit a few years.  He was excited to run and I told him as I was told when I started to NOT drive over your head!  THere are a few others that have races or even seasons under their belts that know better!  I know that Jim, and Rob are gonna be battling so I let them. If i see em coming I let em have at it as I would hope others would do for me.  I bought a car that was only half set up so every week I race I find other things that need to be addressed.  Until my car is 100% I dont want to have to worry about body problems.

I can say I enjoyed the truck races! and the jr hornets have a few REALLY pontentially good drivers. The lady stingers put on a good show also

All rookies can "opt" to start in the back of any main event.....  we don't mandate it!

It's a stockcar race, the goal is to pass cars (slow or fast) without getting in to trouble...... Steven, if you avoided three near mishaps then you are doing what your supposed to do out there!   Keep up the good work.

maybe they should ask him directly if he wants to start in the back before anyone even hits the track

Wrecks happen....... The first thing every driver should know is when a start happens you are always looking across the track at turn 2 for the wreck!!!!!!!!!!! But i do think some people in the back get pretty aggressive. other than that.... Congrats to Jim Smith...

Also have to say that Karl Smith looked good in that heat and if he didnt loose the head gasket before the main he would have finished great. Karl has come along way from last year!! everybody on that track knocked him around last year and he stuck it out and has earned his respect... Others can learn from that.

Also Rob, Dave, Jason, Scott Jr, Dale Yarbrough all  looked good! clean, fast racing!    I am going to have to bring my car for practice before next year to get it to keep up. :D

PS: One piece of advice i will give is..... If somebody knows they can run you dirty and you wont retaiate they will continue to do it...... use the golden rule. "Do on to others and they shall do on to you"

Good racing!!!!!

the mini stock main was by far the best "race" of the night and the heat was just as good...... congrats to jimmy and rob, you guys put on one heck of a show!

I was sittn next to Rotten Ron for part of the night. I though he was gonna bop me on the head as I was screamn' into the mic ........lol

watchin the ramblin man wheel the 10 car in the main after the 44 lunched a tranny, was fun too!    great work guys on keepin brumback in the points hunt!

JR Stingers and Ladies did really well together... I think Ross, Andy and Shane should  challenge the Hornet regulars this weekend!   I would say kieri too, but I know she's not 14 yet!

The only kudos that the semi trucks need is that they left all the walls in place.....lol

No hard feelings from us to the 17, we too are new, we will chalk that one up to more experience and change the bent rear end, tire and wheel, re-square the car pull the skin off the door bars and come out swingin on the 100 lapper.  If it wasn't for new drivers, the division wouldn't exist. :)

My son is coming into the field nice and slow like we intended and if you are faster, he'll let you right on by not to hold up a points battle among the faster cars.  We know when any of the 6/9/18/33/34 cars pass, the rest of them are within a hundredth of a second of passing us, so we hold, let em by and continue the race. By doing that, Bub gets to see how the faster cars are faster and gets to see how they drive so well through traffic and we learn each Saturday and apply it the next.

Too bad for Karl, he was putting down some great laps in his heat.  The battle for the win was killer, Congrats Jimmy.

One of the minis smelled like anti freeze while they were racing also.

Hope all the cars are there for the invitational, it should be a blast.

Here anybody can start in back for whatever reason.  Rookie fright (me once, but just once) , or car with problems can just limp one lap for last place points, whatever.

Then starting last year it became mandatory that a rookie start in back, until officials think he can handle it.

We really really really like that new rule a bunch!!!

Sounds like some fun was had last night regardless.  Way to go!

Yep, I remember I thought I saw the 519 hornet I think it was steamin a bit and smelled it when they went by.  One of the minis also smelled like anto-freeze, couldn't tell which one, too many to bunches of racing going on.

I know I discussed in the pit meeting that if anybody needed to start in the back, they needed to come find me or Bob.

It was a great day of racing although I hated to see all the Mini's that got wrecked. We had a good car count and it was a fun day

I want to thank everyone for being such a great group to race with. Hope to see as many people as possible on Saturday.

Thanks to everyone for a great day of racing. I hated to see all the carnage on the first lap, didn't think I was gonna drive off myself!! Radiator BARELY survived that one.... I would like to thank Justin Breshears for sending me the East Coast HP he did, it really helped. Got to get the car dialed in some more tho yet.. We'll see ya all on the 5th!! Lets go hard for the 100 lapper!!!!
