It will be just like any other member/non member pitpass entry at any other regular saturday night short track. Any member gets in for the member price, ($20same as last year for a regular event) any non-member gets in for the non member price ($25, 5 more than last year for a regular event). The difference is $5. A regular ASA membership in 2007 was $85 annually(price of a tank of gas in an SUV). Special event pass pricing varies as it did in 2007.
pit entry is a "restricted" area, in which accidents are more likley to happen than if a person was in the grandstand area. We are using the ASA participant accident insurance, NON-MEMBERS are covered with a $50,000 accident policy. MEMBERS get an additional $450,000 accident policy that together with the original 50k totals 1/2 million dollars in participant accident coverage. Oh and if you haven't read the ASA news release on the front page of http://www.douglascountyspeedwayonline.com you may not know that it also covers your trip to and from your travel to the speedway.
The program is valid at the ASA Events scheduled in 2008 at the douglas county speedway and any other ASA Member track you happen to go to ie, RockyMtn Raceways SLC, Yakima Speedway WA, Meridian Speedway ID, OrangeShow Speedway CA, or any of the other 27 ASA Member Track in the United States.

That's totally not true! The pumps cut you off at $75.00, long before you ever get it full!

not it you find the right pump. I've found some that don't do that!
Oh and by the way, that is the most annoying thing in the world, the guy says "would you like me to run your card again, to top it off"

Adam are the j~car and modified races considered an ASA racing event?
Does each person on the crew have to apply or dose it cover the car driver and all of the crew members?
is this in addition to the competitors license?
Just tryn to figure out costs to pass on to sponsors. Thank you.

mike, that's not annoying, thats just a state of mind
Harry, an ASA Event is any circle track race that we have regaurdless of what classes are running. Drag races, animal rodeos, truck rodeos, monstertrucks, Nascar Races, test&tune days are all non ASA Events and each have their own pit/admission senerios.
Any one that wants to come into the pits, may do so, and nothing is mandatory except the signing of the waiver and release if you are 18 and above, or the submission of the Parental Consent form if you are a minor.
Any individual will pay $25 for a pitpass if they are a non-ASA Member or will pay $20 if they are an ASA Member. With 17 races on the schedule, 17X5=$85, the figures play it out as a wash if you attend every event. Each individual will determine if the $5 per event will either go to ASA in advance to cover the extended insurance or not. Douglas County Speedway hopes that each individual will become a member, but will not make it mandatory for anyone other than premier series drivers and owners.
Hope that helps explain, harry. Let me know if it is still
