You guys are to much! Why do you think Amos needs new stuff anyway? And Jim, about this...mod44 wrote: Ok heres my two cents.  Your right Modifieds could be as fast or faster than late models.  Why should the modifeds have to spend more money for tires, spring, shocks and brakes just to be as fast or faster?  We had a good field of cars so why change things.  Adam has made it clear its all about money, still not sure how modifeds will come out ahead. Good luck to all who run at DCS

Well here's what I was faced with this morning... :? Jimmy3 we got to work on your dark side a bit, the 12 pack of beer was every nice... and the cool can holder with the number 20 on it is great! But quite frankly the grease ball thing was a little rude dont you think?? As for the bag of cash... I want you to give it to the girl scout cookie research and development fund... I think this will be a start to your road of recovery.

It's really not about being right, it's about how do we fix it and get back on track (no pun intended). Now there are a lot of hard feelings between people who should have never been racing with each other. Not to mention and lot of dollars that were spent to repair the cars.

What I fear is that the "Prima Dona" modifieds will be axed totally because we are not willing to run for $100.00 to win in a modified only class. I assume that those that wish to run with the late models will still be allowed to do so.

From the sounds of things, DCS expects more late models to return next year and this would in turn push more modifieds towards the rear of the finishing order. I have one unconfirmed report of a modified finishing 18th in a premier division main event and getting a check for $ 7.63 or something like that.

If I'm going to throw my money away and not enjoy it, well, I might as well start traveling to all Washington State football away games and root for the Cougars:D:D

Wade,

I don't remember who I was talking to at the time but they said something about the high cost of trying to run the Northstate series (whatever they called it) due to fuel costs, they expected more late models to return to DCS on a regular basis. I personally don't know many late model drivers and I'm sure that anything you have heard is probably more realistic. What are you hearing? The late model class looked like it was gaining cars as the season progressed. Are you hearing of any that won't be back? Have you heard of any that might be back that didn't race at DCS this year on a regular basis? What about Riley and Pope?

I think alot depends on the NSCS, if there is one. Also, some people are going to wait and see what tire rule DCS comes up with. Tom Elam has said there are some tires available (used) now but they need to be bought up asap! I just dont see many guys showing up for $500 to win on 4 sticker tires ($115/ea.) Just dont compute.

As far as the guy (rumor) that was paid $7.63 for 18th, there is no way that is true. DCS paid $.91 per point (I think) and that would mean that person only had 8 points? There has to be more to that story...? I finished 6th in the first main and 16th or so in the second race and got $67 (or close to that).

Wade, that's what I was told, maybe he broke in the first main and got 18th. Didn't run the second main???  Would that compute according to the formula you are using?

If it does compute, if all cars finished and a driver finished 18th in both mains he could expect about $15.00 plus any heat race money. Is that a fairly accurate assessment?

As you know, we didn't run down there this year but if we consider coming back down, we would like to know what kind of purse to expect. Thanks for the information.

Anything is possible. We quit trying to figure out the formula DCS uses. It started out at around $6 a point in 2008 and finished under $1 per point.

I NEVER SEEN WHAT THE BACK GATE BROUGHT IN THAT DAY. THERE WAS 87 CARS WITH AN AVERAGE OF THREE PEPOLE PER CAR. YOU DO THE MATH. ALL IN ALL WE GET JACKED

Just curious, how many of them "competitive modifieds" won a main event this year. Seems EVERYTIME I looked a late model won, and I know the modified drivers are good drivers. And just for the record I myself did not leave as a form of protest. I simply want to run with modifieds, and the dirt just added to the excitement!!
