The deal is done. Just a little while ago today, sources close to the situation said that Chevrolet has agreed to terms with Joe Gibbs Racing to buy Tony Stewart out of his contract with the Toyota Sprint Cup racing team. Stewart will indeed be making the move to Haas CNC Racing, a rumor that has been circulating for months.
Sources have also said that Stewarts new sponsor will be Office Depot and that terms have been finalized regading the impending sponsorship. In addition, Stewart will be joined by Penske Racing driver Ryan Newman. Sources indicate that Newman would be sponsored by Burger King. No word yet on what car numbers the drivers will run. An announcement could come as early as next week at Daytona...

Wow, that's nuts. That will break up Gibbs' "super team" I guess then, huh?
If both Stewart and Newman are moving over, then where does that leave Scott Riggs?
No Home Depot? That's shocking.

I must respectfully disagree due to the fact that HMS is looking also. We shall see.!
haas is a losing situation and just because Tony is part owner, doesn't make the team any better imo

"HMS is looking also" I would say the media needs a story and used Tony in this one. JMHO.....

| ESPN is reporting that it`s a done deal. Stewart will team up with Haas next year. In the story posted by ESPN, it says Tony owns a trio of race tracks including Eldora. Anyone know what other two tracks he owns?
