Ok, so I admit, my interest in NASCAR Cup racing has waned quite a bit the last few years. But today's Brickyard, with the tire problems and competition yellows is making me fall asleep. Not to mention, doesn't racing include occasionally seeing some cars go side by side for longer than a nano-second?

I might just go tanning..

The first few laps of that race were great...then it just went downhill. The tires are ruining the race. A couple of years ago they had a similar fiasco regarding tires at Charlotte.

Dagum...Kenseth's quarter panel was just obliterated when his right rear blew!

Clearly THE  MOST boring NASCAR race ever. Rivals most of the Pocono races. Even the post race winners circle interview was awful.

Just another pitiful display of competition by NAPCAR. They will be taking heat about this one for awhile. Worst I have ever seen. Only good thing I can say is that a Toyota did not win if you call that winning. Might as well of run a 10 lap heat to start with. Thats about all it was.... JMHO. :(

I taped it and watched the last part. Slept through most of it though.

I'll have to break out the race simulator and have a more exciting race sometime this week.

honestly, I can hardly stand to watch it and just barely follow it, compared to how I used to consume the product.

Yeah, I do the same frizzy. Just check in to see how Kasey, Tony & Greg Biffle do, and that's about it.

When I heard they were going to do those tire cautions, was like man, why bother? Kinda like the phantom debris cuations lol.  56 laps under caution or something like that? Definitely makes it look like a bunch of heat races. Even read that Junior was commenting on that.

Arrrggggghhh kinda makes me glad I sleep during the day now on Sundays so don't have to watch that.

Like I've said many times. There are only 4 tracks worth watching a race at: Richmond, Bristol, Phoenix, and Martinsville. They can flush the rest of them. That was the most pathetic pit stop competition I've ever watched.

Love the short track stuff Kelly. Do you get a chance to go up to the ID200 this w/e? I really think the fans are going to dig the RMCS race. Great back to the roots late model style. To watch the guys have to work their way thru the field....Damn takes me back to my youth:)

no I am heading the other direction over to Skagit Speedway for the 360 Nationals. The thing that would push me in the direction of permanent retirement would be to get to spend ONE summer going to whatever race, on whatever weekend I wanted to. Someday, I will get to see the Idaho 200 and the Modifed Nationals at Elma and the Apple Cup and the.... you get the idea.

Nascar Scene is reporting this morning that Goodyear is committed to going back to the Brickyard and test until the tire problem is resolved.

Geezzzzzzz boys, YOU MIGHT OF TRIED THAT BEFORE LAST SUNDAY!

It is call proactive instead of reactive but then that is typical with NAPCAR :(
