I thought the race tonight was alright, it had some exciting racing at times and the end was really good. But I really liked the cool down lap, way to go Carl.

Agreed!   The "deal" between Edwards and Little Bush was great!...........WTG Carl!  Sheds a whole new meaning to short tracking! lol

Yep! That was the only thing that held my interest in the race last night!  Carl didn`t seem to do anything blatent to "little Busch". Nothing that he couldn`t "repay" if his car was fast enough in those closing laps.  It seems Kyle kinda blocks out when he does those "bump and runs"!!!!

I LOVE watching Bristol....I  laughed so hard when I heard Clint Bowyer (right after one of the accidents) say that Micheal Waltrip was the worse driver ever, and he couldn't believe NAPA signed him again. I'm not saying I believe that, but not expecting to hear it when the announcers went to his car to hear what happened. It was a great race, and I am thrilled to see Carl win over Kyle!!

Good race to watch for a change.. Whiney little Bush baby does not ever remember when he gives it. If you can give it,better be able to take it and not cry like a little baby.. Classic bump and run for Carl that was executed masterfully..

Rickt

ps..how cool would it be to have the old master Dale still here to bump fenders with these young cry babies...hehehe..;)

I was at Elma, so didn't get to see the race, but heard all about it, Way to go Carl Edward.

I want anyone but Kyle Busch, and his brother, or Jeff Gordon, to win, i am sick of those 3

He really didn't mean to hit Carl Edwards, he was just trying to get the "magnet" in place, and it was a little stronger then Kyle!!

The only difference is Carl just gave him a bump and run and passed, Dale would of spun Busch out for getting in his way:cool:

The best part of that incident was when the reporter asked Carl about it........Carl said, I thought about it before I did it. I had to ask myself would Kyle do that to me?  Yup, and he has.  Carl was ever so calm in his reply and kept that big 'ole smile on his face.:cool::cool::cool:

Fontana should prove to be very interesting!

Nascar wouldn't let anybody get away with the driving style that Earnhardt Sr. had during his era today. Earnhardt Sr. was also the biggest poor sportsman in nascar when sombody did the same thing to him, case in point when mayfield gave him (earnhardt) a taste of his own medicine at Pocono and Earnhardt flipped Mayfield the bird and then wouldn't talk to the media, that action today would get you a trip to the trailer and a fine but not SR. he was like god. Earnhardt wasn't bump and run, it was dump and run.;)

Very true!  In todays Nascrap, Dale's driving style wouldn't fly well with the officials but fans loved him then and would love his bump & dump tactics now, and only his.

Don't get me wrong here.........We are an Earnhardt family! Times change. Time changes every sport and it's participants.

Who got a trip to the trailer and fine for flipping someone the bird?

If I recall that race Dale did talk to the media, and pretty much said Jeremy didn't do anything he wouldn't do.

As for Pee Wee (Herman) Busch.  He's no Dale Earnhardt.

in Carls interview after the race he did admit that he meant to do it . he said he asked himself what Kyle would do if the roles were reversed , and the answer was that Kyle would do the bump and run, cause he had done it to Carl in a Nationwide race earlier in the year .

And that was the 1st time in his career that he admitted to doin it.  Not that it matters about anything...does anyone else think its weird that Edwards mom is always hanging around him??  Probably just me

What is funny is Carl barely touched him.  I remember Gordon hammering on Jimmy last year at Martinsville and couldn't move him. Carl was defiantly the fastest car on the track at the time.  I think Kyle was frustrated to lead so many laps and not win.  If he can't blame Carl he would have blamed his crew.  If the roles were reversed? Carl would be in a heap and Kyle would be claiming he didn't was to win that way.

No Jeff, it's not weird at all!  There's not a thing wrong with Carl's Mom hanging around! She is his strongest supporter as are most race mom's at any level.  She played a big role in getting him his first ride and I've heard Carl give Thanks to her plenty of times.  I see her at every race in the pit box with the crew chief so someone must approve of her hanging around!  When and if Carl takes on a wife, his Mom may be off camera more but until then, his Mom will be in the picture.

Besides that..........Very seldom (never) will you see Chance at a track without this Mom close by!  And No, Chance is not a momma's boy by any means. I am his strongest supporter and his biggest critic. He is appreciative of my support (and wallet) and feels I should be included.

**It's a racing Mom's thing and a racing Mom's right to be included.

**This is not just my opinion, it's fact.

I've always razzed Chance that when he makes it to the big leagues,  I'm going blonde!  Heck!  If he makes it in the top 10 in the Bud I-5 Cup series this year (that's big league to me!), I just might go blonde!  lol
