Not the first time a driver has come out of retirement, I wish him better luck than some of the others that have tried.  I think Rusty still does a lot of testing for teams so I doubt he has lost much.  I'm sure part of it is due to economic issues.  Rusty can still attract a pretty decent sponsorship package.
As for Teresa, I don't think we really know what her involvement is with DEI, and as for her ruining it, there a lot of other teams that are in a much worst situation than DEI.

Speedbuggy...here is how she ruined it. Ya, she still owns the licensing for SR's stuff but, how if your a business mind would you let your ATM get away to Hendrick? You don't!!! Thats almost more blatently stupid than whats going on at Wall Street. Oh, and BTW don't expect the government to be bailing out DEI either.

I agree that wasn't the best of moves or was it?  For Jr. to stay, she need to fork over 51% of DEI.  With from what I understand it has always been a strained relationship at best, who knows where they would be now. I was a big SR. fan and just hate to see what is happening to DEI.  I think JR make the best move for him.  I'm sure DEI will get things staightened out.  My point is how much is Treasa really involve in the day to day operation?  I just hate to see people trashing her.  On the other hand look at Penske and Ganassi.  Two very big names that are also struggling.  The topic on some of the NASCAR talk shows has been, because of the economy, that we may see less than 43 cars in many races next year.  A number of teams may need to cut back due to lack of funding.

I always thought he retired too early. But I think it would be best if he did not come back. I really like him as a commentator.

Jr. wrecked and must go to a back-up car.

Rusty driving for DEI would be like John Kerry announcing he is
changing parties and running for the Senate as a Republican.
Can anything else get so bazarre.  This is a crazy time!

AJ Allmendinger "fired" as a driver this late in the season.
What's up with that???? TOO

Maybe the salaries of the drivers should come down a peg
or two or three.  They do get a pretty hefty percentage of
purses and souvenir stuff.

It(DEI) was left to TE in Srs will....not to JR.  So she can run her business (that Sr credited her with building in the first place) how she wants too.  Alot of the probs seemed to have to do with Jrs sister.  JMO.  I dont mind Jr but his fans are complete idiots.  Throwin stuff on the track cause their driver didnt win is stupid to say the least.

I'm not a big Jr. or even a Sr. fan. I did however, grow to have great respect for Sr. in his later days of racing. You're right about Earnhardt fans though. Now hows this for a business model. Skagit dumps the Dirt Cup. Deming eliminates the Clay Cup. Oh, and lets not have a Daytona 500 or an Indy 500. Just a weekly program. You're correct TE can run her business any way she wants, however that business model is biting her hard. If you don't think DEI's revenues are off BIG, I'm not looking to open a business with you anytime soon. It takes a team, not a singular selfish mindset.:)

Selfish...like Jr?  If I dont get my way Im takin my ball and leaving.  Maybe he should have shown some patience and then one day it would have been his.  And yes I know DEI isnt what they used to be....and I could care less.  LOL  Even if they are way off of what they used to be they still got a whole lot more money than I do.  Why am I debating something as boring as nascar?  HAHA

us right?

I think I know where you'all comin' from.....

It does seem petty for them to have their disagreements while
we struggle to put food on the table and gas in the car.  It's hard
to get worked up over driver-management-team issues.  Everyone
is worried about their own bottom line.  (translation:  their butts & $)

This is just entertainment, but the strategies and the talent are
 fun to watch.....
