I got home for lunch to see the last 3 laps. Nice to see a good guy and great racer like Edwards win the race. You just got to love that back flip after the win.

His days of him being a "nice guy" were over the day he jerked Matt out of a live Speed Channel interview and drew back with a fake punch on Matt....perhaps you missed that or is that ok with you also sitinstands ??

That reduced him to punk status.....which won't change anytime soon

No I did not know he had done that. But let me ask you this. Why do you feel the need to make snide comments to me whenever I say something about a NASCAR driver? Have you just got issues with NASCAR or me? I would really like to know what it is that I have done to tick you off.

If that reduces him to "punk" status, just about every driver in the garage is a punk.  Juan Montoya, Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart, Kurt and Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon...just to name a few.  Man, with so many stars being "punks", you gotta wonder how that NASCAR thing makes it. :P

Bill....you're totally incorrect.

None of the drivers you've mentioned above have done what Edwards did...

The last time we saw anything close to what Edwards did was when Jimmy Spencer actually punched ole Kirt Bush several years ago

Here ya go sitsinstands....

In your absence you seem to have become much more tolerant...

In another thread you didn't have a problem with racers that cheat

I'm glad you don't teach where my kids attend

I really do not know what you are talking about because I clearly stated that cheating is wrong. Here is my quote in the thread you are talking about;

"I did not say that. As a matter of fact I do not like that he, or anyone else, tried to cheat, but most of them do. It just seems to be part of the sport. Heck, how many local tracks do you know of that everyone is running legal? Cheating is just part of all motor sports like it or not. All of the top teams and many of the secondary teams in NASCAR have have been caught cheating over the past few years.

In all honesty I would love to see NASCAR make the fines higher and the amount of race suspensions to increase. If they make the fines and suspensions so high that they could not possibly win the championship it would stop a lot of it."

And here is a link to that thread if you or anyone else thinks I am not being honest about what I stated. http://www.nwracechat.com/forum29/8379.html

As for my absence, I have gone nowhere. You apparently have me mixed up with someone else.

I disagree.  It looked like they were talking and Kenseth didn't want to talk to Edwards.  Edwards when faking the punch walks away with a smile.  They're teamates and I'm sure they're friends.  The probably laughed about it later.

The drivers I mentioned above certainly have done things like this or worse.

Sorry Bill....but it just wasn't like that at all

Had you seen the rest of the interview.... when Matt came back to interviewer he quickly mentioned that Edwards isn't what he appears and no one at Roush trusts what he might do next, and he wasn't talking about on the track...

Too bad the YouTube video isn't complete.

Kenseth is no friend of Edwards after that little display of arrogance...

I would have to agree with that. If you are going to dislike people because they acted out in some way, you are not going to have very many friends. Heck, look at all the people that were and still are Earnhardt fans. He said and did some of the rudest things during his career. But the guy was never boring.

Well, I still wouldn't consider, or call him a "punk".  Just too many drivers out there doing the same stuff.

Heh, thanks Rick! :)

I like Carl (obviously) and I like Kenseth too.  Heck, I even have a few Kenseth shirts hanging in the closet (my wife is a fan). :)

I agree with SITS about Earnhardt.  Everyone always said you either loved him or you hated him for what he did on and off the track but nobody ever thought he wasn't fun to watch.

People like BK, Earnhardt, Darrel Waltrip, Kurt Busch, Tony Stewart, Danica Patrick and many many more are what keeps auto racing interesting. You do not have to like them to enjoy them.
