Believe it or not, Sprint Cup rookie Michael McDowell was virtually uninjured after a violent flip during qualifying at Texas Motor Speedway earlier today. After a check-up at the track's infield care center, he went on to do interviews. This is one of the most nastiest crashes I have ever seen. It's such a relief to see a rising star like Michael walk away.

I would say the C.O.T passed the test.

| I just seen it on the news, hold SH** that was a nasty one, so thankful he is okay and that the cars/equipment are being built to protect the driver.

| The Soft Wall also. And being Young. Now just think if that had been DJ or even Michael Waltrip.

20 years ago, he wouldn't have walked away from that. Saw that on SportsCenter last night.

| Yeah...that was pretty bad. Glad to see he was okay. I did notice a little bit of a limp in his walk, but I'm sure it was minor.

Exactly what I was thinking. That was one of the worst tumbles I have seen in Cup in many years.

I still cannot believe he is ok. Plus he didn't have that bad of a run yesterday, It was his 2nd race, and finished 33rd, after that crash.
I am really impressed with the CoT this year, the races have been close, and everything.Last edited on Monday Apr 7th, 2008 02:02 PM by sprint_car_fan2007
