About US,
My brother and I have been going to Sprint car races since 1979 when we were 9 years old. Our first race was at Terre Haute to see the Hulman Classic. Since then, we have been hooked on this sport. Our main interest was the non-wings especially USAC going to every race at Terre Haute until 1983. We went to the Hulman Classic in 1984 but I dont remember too much about that race. Also, we went to Putnamville's Lincoln Park Speedway to watch the likes of Bob Kinser, Eric Trousdale, Bob Christian, Roger Rager, Randy Kinser, Larry Rice, Ken Schrader, Steve Butler and many others. Things changed for us in June of 1983 though. Our Dad was going to take Keith and I to Terre Haute to talk to some people about racing quarter midgets. Before we left, he started feeling bad so our Mom, 2 of my brothers and I got in the car to take Dad to the hospital. First, we went to the hospital in Brazil but they turned him away so we got back in the car and headed for Terre Haute. On the way there, he suffered a massive coronary heart attack. He died at the hospital that night. After that, racing wasnt that important for a long time. It wasn't until 1994, at the Ocala Speedway, that we went to another sprint car race and it was the All Star show where Joey Saldana passed Kelly Kinser for the win. After that, our desire to see sprints again was re-discovered and we have been attending races ever since. Thats why we created this website. In honor of our Dad who got us interested in this great sport and the desire to share the races that we attend with other sprint car fans. One day our dream of racing may or may not come true but having the priviledge of being able to take pictures and video of racers and put them on this site is more than enough to put a smile on our faces. Over the years we have met so many people and made some really good friends. I expect that will continue and we look forward to meeting even more of you in the future. So with that, whatever race track you frequent or organization you enjoy watching on a regular basis, have fun, enjoy and when you look out over the race track and into the pits where all the cars are, just reflect on what we have and smile!
