Wilroc Sprint Car Assoc. has created a new entry level Sprint Car class to start running in the 2008 season. The cars will be wingless and use limited engines, 2 barrel carbs and gasoline. The chassis will be regular wilroc rules. Tires are yet to be determined. You can check out the full set of rules here.

| just a way for the stock car guys to make a cheap , easy entry into sprint cars and work with an engine package they already know . this way they can concentrate on driving and set-up , not how to get the fuel injection right.

| During a recent tire test for the new limited class, the fastest lap was a 16.30 on the 3/8 mile flat asphalt track. The car was running a stock 327 2 barrell and on the same tires as the winged sprints. In comparison, the Wilroc winged sprint cars set a fast lap of 14.007 earlier this season. The Late Model track record is a 16.92 second lap. So far things are looking positve for this new class, with 10 cars allready being prepared for next season.

| Sounds like a real good reason to make a trip to Canada in the next couple of years.

We have some close up shots of the car at http://www.lejeuneracecars.com/lejeune.htm
The car used for the tire test was a torsion bar car, and we have not yet tested a coil over car with the limited motor. Last year a demostration race was held with some of the regular wilroc cars (coil over) and lap times varied from 16.04 to hi 16's. Looks like either setup could be competitive.
