| Your pic of the yellow 81 was, I'm pretty sure, Marty Rosler. The pic right above yours JR is what looks like Rudy's King Crab sprinter with more than likely Ross driving. The pic at the top of the page is hard for me to make out all of the cars. The white #5 T is Dave Ehlers. I would have to take a closer look at the others to figure it out.

Isn't that the same car that you put up on that thread on the "other board" that ran and ran and ran?????? That was a fun thread.

Yes I was up there north of the pribilofs in july and august,Yes the uni is still hoppin,The Elbow was called Lattitudes when I was there this summer,still the same old crusty joint,but the toilet worked at least.I talked with Larry Shaishnekoff (spelling?)the old owner and he still got to drink for free,I went in there my first time when I was 15 in 1984.The unisea bought it this fall and closed it down,no competition I guess.What a shame,Kinda like Spanaway closing down.OK I KNOW I HAVE HIGHJACKED THIS THREAD ,SORRY.Attachment: P1010036.JPG (Downloaded 424 times) Last edited on Wednesday Jan 2nd, 2008 07:51 PM by SPRINT8

I believe the 71 is McTaggart...this was a car once owned by rebel and later sold to Max Dudley...which I bought from Max....hell of a nice old car....still in the erp area I am told...but pretty butchered up now...sad.....

| Yes, Sprint 3, that is a much younger Glen. Here is an Elma 1/2 mile shot from about 1971. Shows some of the diversity of the day. (37) Glen Walker ran a 289 Ford V8, (23) Ray Stevens ran a Ford straight 6, (12) George Wixson ran a Chev straight 6 with 3 carbs, and (11) Rich Leighty ran a 283 Chev V8. A lot of track championships in this picture. Glen, George, and Rich all won multiple track championships and Ray was always near the front. Of course Glen and Rich are still playing. That's (of course) Al Pombo. The 19 above is Gene Calton, who bought the car from Pombo. It's a former Peat Bros. car.

PSFAN. The picture you have posted was taken at Evergreen. Loren Day owns the 84 car and it is in the process of being restored at this time. He is trying to find who has this picture as it was the only dash race that he and Ross were in together.They raced side by side for several laps and he is proud to have been in the same dash as one of his heros. We heard there was a picture of his car and the "T" up at Rudy's shop, but he has been unable to find out who owns that picture. He would love to have a copy and would be willing to pay.
P.S. I think that is Rick Anthony in the yellow car. That was about our normal Friday night crowd too. ha. ha.

#3 Peat Bros T- Anybody know who is in the picture working on the rear?
I heard the car is now in Oregon...sitting. Is that still the status? It would be nice to see it make it's way back to the Pombo family. Anthony and Davey are still deeply involved in racing. I think Al has another grandson racing too.

Petaluma, those fence posts sticking up look a little dangerous.
Hey Jerry Day, if you see this do you know who is driving your car?

Posted at Jerry's request...... he says he's gonna buy lunch if I drive down there and show him how to post pictures....which he has many of
I prefer off-site hosting, never tried uploading direct to the site with pictures
BTW....thanks Rick & Greg for providing us a great place for all this.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
These pics are 1968 & 69 of my car. Notice the low cost uniforms of the day. I still have the molds if any one is intrested .
I have lots of pictures of them back to 1960.... Jerry

The White car is Art Pollard in Levi Jones Kurtis Roadster. I made the body for that car and then built mine.
