How many of you old time Sky Valley Speedway fans remember seeing not only Dick Wilskey as a Sprint Car hot shoe, but also piloted the #76 Jalopy for one season for Joe Darlington.  How did you end up in that ride Dick?

Boy, Kelly you are really dating yourself now. Joe got hurt, on the job as I recall, and the doctors wouldn't release him to drive. I had run a jalopy, the 4 car, up at Skagit, at their one and only appearance there, early that year and did pretty well so Joe asked me to fill in until he could drive again.

They were great people to work with and I had a good time driving that car. It was one of the better cars. Don't remeber if we won in it but it was always a front runner.

Dick,

Have you had any thoughts of doing any restoration jobs?
