Time to start chattin' about the Limited Late Model Racing Series again! We are closing in on the Roseburg, Oregon race. Rusty was trying to get a feel for who all is ready to go, who will be there, etc. So who's in? Any of you local guys planning on running with us?

Cool, any more? Here's a couple questions for ya' Fairlane. Who drives the 20 car? He was not at the first couple races, and is not listed in the points standings I have. Also, do you have any updated info on points standings after Spokane?

Thanks a bunch! Where do you get this stuff? I can't find anything! You must be the go to guy! :dude: Here, try this! I'm trying to find individual photos of the following cars -

#23 - Steve Woods

#77 - Vic Beard

#80 - Bill Posh, Jr.

Any format as long as it's digital, any size as long as it isn't too small. If you have a photo of those from a digital camera could you send it my way? TeriblTim@aol.com

And, thanks for all the help so far!

Tim,

I will tell you about my project....but your gonna laugh at me.

I have been an avid race sim/game player for a very long time...and I play Nascar2003 on-line and off....anyway recently I used the paintshop in the game to "re-create" all the cars running in the LLMRS...  makes it more fun to beat up on cars I already know.   the #23 #77 and #80 are the only ones I am missing

i play it too. I painted a car to look exactly like our LLM last year. Its fun, but i bet its way more fun with a wheel. I just user the keyboard. Can anyone explain how to put new tracks and how to make a paint job. I already forgot, lol.

Most of the tracks you can just place in the "tracks" subfolder. As for painting cars, I use PaintShop Pro and start with on eof the many templates out there, then import them into the game. I can't beleive you use the keyboard! That must be insanely hard! Yes a wheel is the way to go! You can find one at the local game stores for around $60 or you can get one of them high dollar "Thomas Super Wheels". They start at $200 and go up from there with additional options! You could also try using a joystick, that's what I did before getting a wheel. It was better than the keyboard.

I havent tried to used paintshop pro to paint the cars in the game..ive not spent the time to learn the program...I really should tho.

As for keyboard driving....i gave up on that about an hour after I got home w/ Nascar 1  in 1995  LOL......I am still using the same wheel and pedal setup I bought when I got Nascar2!.....its a Thrustmaster T2  its been "re-built" a couple of times ... lots of hard racin miles.  I have a backup wheel/pedal set I got for $5 at a used PC parts store near my shop (...just incase ya know.)

one day I would like to build a motion platfrom/simulator.....Ive seen some awesome homebuilt units...would be very cool

I downloaded a template and i painted it how i wanted it. But i ont know what to save it as. I tried .tga and .car, cuz thats what the other cars in the game are saved as. Any ideas? Ive gotten used to the keyboard, it SUCKS though. And on top of it my computer sucks, so when i race against other cars, its at like 12fps.

If I remember correctly, it has to be a .tga. You have to put it in the "imports/exports" subfolder under the game folder. Then you have to import it once in the game.

Sounds like you may be using a template made for a new mod. Other than that, not sure. It's one of those "I'd have to see it to know" things.

I just got back home. I for one had a great time, we all appreciate the hospitality displayed by the entire Douglas County Speedway staff. I hope that we are coming back next season. Sorry I didn't get a chance to stop and say hi to you in person. After our adventure just getting there we were rather late and pressed for practice time.Look for an update to the LLMRS website soon. Congrats to Bobby for a great run!

BOBBY MAKEs WRIGHT MOVE AT DCS

BZ ZELLER
July 15, 2007

Bobby Wright won his first-ever feature race Saturday night at the Douglas
County Speedway an ASA Member Track. The Roseburg racer captured the 50-lap Limited Late
Model/Super Street Stock main event.

An over-aggressive move from an out-of-state driver, that took out a local
favorite from contention on Lap 43, proved to be the difference for Wright.

Roseburg¹s Dan Fouts started eighth of the 16-car field and had moved into
the race lead on Lap 28. Fouts led comfortably for the next 15 laps until
the race¹s seventh caution flag came out on Lap 43.

When the field returned to green, John Boyatt, of Spanaway, Wash., collided
into the back bumper of the leader, sending Fouts' No. 6 car into the Turn 3
wall. Both Fouts, who drew a yellow flag, and Boyatt, who was penalized for
the contact, were sent to the back of the pack.

Wright, who was running a close third prior to the turning point of the
event, assumed the race lead and cruised to the checkered flag. The event¹s
seven laps before the finish did not dampen Wright¹s elation following his
victory.

"This just feels terrific. I love it," Wright said. "This is a great win,
especially for my crew who has worked so hard. We were running so good
tonight."

"It's unfortunate what¹s happened to Danny (Fouts). He's just as good as it
gets."

Back on pit row following the race, Boyatt was quick to offer an apology to
Fouts for the altercation.

"There was only seven laps to go, and I got a little too aggressive coming
into the turn,"Boyatt said. "I was trying to get a line inside, and I knew
I didn't have it. But I braked too late."

Fouts was frustrated, but happy to see Wright collect the trophy.

"Nobody wants something like this to happen at the end of the race," Fouts
said. "We were in great position for the win. It was just a great night for
Bobby."

Wright began the race card by winning the fast-time award in his No. 65 car
with a fast lap of 16.397 seconds. Fouts, who timed in third fastest,
rallied to pass six cars in the waning laps of the feature to finish fourth.

Brad Stanwood, of Portland, qualified second fastest, won the trophy dash
and finished second in the feature.

Ken Irving of Medford finished third in the feature. Ron McCoy of Roseburg
won the first heat, and Chris Schlaht won the fast heat.

Fouts' evening wasn't completely filled with unfortunate finishes, however.
Driving double duty in both the Super Stock and Street Stock classes, Fouts
led nearly every circuit of the 30-lap Street Stock main in route to
victory. He also won the class's fast time award (17.393 seconds) and trophy
dash.

Don Livermore won the first heat and Gary Perry won the fast heat.

Roseburg's Donald Moore finished a close second in the main with Port Orford
rookie Amos Rhodes placing third.

In the Mini Stock class, Rob Mueller continued his season sweep of the main
events. The Roseburg drive took the lead on Lap 8 of 25 and held off Dave
Wilson for the win. Justin Breshears, on leave from the U.S. Navy, rallied
from the final starting position to finish third.

Mueller was again the fastest in qualifying (18.143) and also padded his
season points lead by adding a win in the fast heat. Sutherlin's Tyson Eaton
won the trophy dash and Glide's Richard Dickenson won the first heat.

David Lyons record another main-event win the Hornet class. Lyons and the
rest of the 11-car field were joined on Lap 7 by a mini van piloted again by
promoter by Adam Nelson, who dazzled the crowd by repeatedly cutting through
the infield and weaving through racing traffic, becoming a moving obstacle
in the process.

Ben Herbert, a 14-year old from Oakland, clocked the fast time in
qualifying (20.508) and collected enough points to maintain his spot atop
the season-points standings. Lyons, who timed in second fastest, is second
in the points race after missing one weekend of racing due to surgery.

Herberts father, Ben Jam'n Herbert, won the fast heat. Josh Cox won the
first heat. Dave Jobe won the dash.

Racing resumes Saturday at the Douglas County Speedway featuring the annual
Art Pollard Memorial Sprint Car races. The ASA/Northwest Sprintcar Racing
Association¹s tour with drivers from Canada, Washington, Idaho and Oregon
will be on hand for racing action.
