I have friend that is into building exact model replicas of past racing giants and he is doing a Hershel car right now and needs actual pictures from when he raced the old Chevelles and Novas in the day for accuracy. Any help out there? He called me for help and I am working on it but if any of you super board members and race fans have any pics please scan em in and post them. Besides that, it would be bitchin to see them...Come on.........a little help with the white and gold #4 cars please..:)

I have both of those photo's thanks. I was looking for the chevelle when it was first built with the radiased frender wells instead of the sqared ones. I would like to know what color the interior and frame are. The first photo is a later year when they used the blue and white splatter coat, I think the Nova was the same. Thanks for the help.

JLarson,

Here's the Chevelle on the dirt at Colorado National Speedway in 1973. The interior looks blue here too...

Interestingly enough, there appears to be an identical Oly Chevelle in the background on the backstretch.

Thanks Highplainsdrifter, that is very interesting. From my research on the car it almost looks like the car in the backround might be Hershel's, because I don't recall Hershel's cars every having fender well radised like the photo shows.
