Who is headed for Madras this weekend?  Do they still race if it`s over 100 degrees?  I`m leaving for the mountains tomorrow to keep cool till Saturday nite!  But I`ve found a short cut from my mountain hideaway to Madras.  Should be good, even if it will be HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be there with the PHRA dwarfs....stop by either the 00 pit (where line-ups for the PHRA are done) or the 37 and say hello. It will be damn hot indeed. Drink plenty of water!

Oh, come on.....it's a dry heat with a breeze:D:D:D:D:D

I'm just going on a hunch here, but I put my dry-slick tune-up on.............

It's all good cuz the late night air will be perfect for the after hours.....

On a more seriuos note.....get lotsa ice and water BEFORE ya head over the hill and there will be alot of cars there this weekend.

See ya there, Tony

Yup Tony.........there's always a breeze in the high desert BUT if there is a breeze (note the if) it will be way HOT!   Hottest temp will be around 6 PM.  I tend to agree with you on the dry slick.;)

Lake Simtustus...........I WUV that place!  Haven't been there in years, tho.

Lots of ice and water and don't forget the shade canopies.  There's absoultely NO natural shade in the pits.  However, there is a canal just to the left of the pit shack that could serve as a cool wading spot!

I remember a few years back and it was so nasty HOT................we would wait in hiding for Scott to come by with the water truck and jump out and get a good spray..........I think he got a kick out of it!
