Was wondering if anyone else had problems getting to this sight last night and this morning.  Kept showing that the website entered had expired June 28th, wondering if anyone else had this problem, know a couple members still having problems trying to log on and can't and still showing the same message.

I haven't had any problems. Either last night or today. Which web address are you using? I use the http://www.nwracechat.com address. I have had problems in the past when I was using the http://www.nwracetalk.com adress. You might give this a try.

I am one having the problem, I am using a Proxy Site, to get on here, cause if I just type it in the address bar, it takes me to that thing where it says that the domain is expired, but i type in both http://www.nwracetalk.com and http://www.nwracechat.com and it takes me to the same thing, so im using a proxy site....

Been looking into this. Asked a couple of people here @ work (work for an isp/cable company), but no answer as of yet. .

Did some forum searching for you guys. Could be a # of things. Are you using a Windows Based machine (XP, Vista, 2000, ME), or a Mac? If running a windows based machine, try clearing the cookies/cache/history/temp files, etc. Also, you may try doing a flush dns, which basically will reset the tcp/ip stack (if ya need instructions, let me know, is pretty simple to do). If running vista, before doing the flush dns, make sure you are logged in as the admin, or it will give you a requires elevation error (won't let you do the flush dns). Am not too sure how to do on a Mac, sorry.....:(

Also depends on which browser you are using, whether it be IE 6, 7,  Firefox etc. If IE 7, could be using something along the lines of a php file, which IE 7 will expire the page, html codes this won't happen. Try resetting the factory defaults and see if continues. Will see if can find a fix for this for you, or how to check this. MIght take me a bit, but .....

Here where I work, they do web filtering on certain sites (acess denied), so was hoping is not a work filtering type of deal.

If doesn't work, may need to default to Rick or Greg......:)

Never fear loyal subjects. All will be good in the kingdom of NWRaceTalk within 24hrs. We had a hiccup with our domain folks yesterday and they are working to correct it and everyone should be back on line today depending on your server. It is now time to get back to the task at hand of saving the world from distasteful, rude, negative and just general bad taste racing posts. Go forth loyal members and make us proud! ;)

Uh Bill.. you are on if you just made the post above.. lmao

It is really strange boys and girls. We were told it would take up to 24hrs for most servers to carry us again. Now listen to this. I have Comcast hi-speed business at work . If I click the big blue "E" (internet explorer) and use that as my browser it goes right thru and connects. Now I quit out of that and click on AOL and use it as my browser and nothing happens. I get the same crap as the rest of you. So then I come home tonight. Comcast available at home again, click on it, get on and try to  connect to NWRT and nothing..same crap. So now listen to this! I quit out of that and click on NETZERO DIAL-UP and get on as this my browser and it goes right on and connects..... WITH DIAL-UP!.

So I guess what I am tryin to say is that there is no easy answer. When it comes back , it comes back. IT WILL COME BACK!

Greg and I both both apologize a bunch for this but it was out of our hands. We are doing our best to repair the problem.

Thanks for your patience.......

Rickt:cool:......... ain't technology great:?

Hhmmmmm, I've got a Mac with Firefox browser and I've just been sailing along not realizing there was even a problem until I noticed this thread at the top of the list. Guess that's what happens when you are just an old fart that doesn't understand all this complicated computer stuff.

Has been a hit-n-miss thing with me also.  Message keeps saying the Domain name has expired but if I use the link on my e-mail post notice, I get right in.  Isn't that like using the back door?:D
