Now I understand the comment about Viacom -
Seems a federal judge has ordered You-Tube to disclose who watches which video clips and when.
Not going after names so much, as wanting the data to demonstrate that Viacom's copyrighted television / cable shows are being watched more often and in larger numbers than the non-copyrighted amatuer video clips.
The judge ruled that the plaintiffs had a legitimate reason for the request, and that privacy concerns are speculative to the request - what ever that means.
Viacom is asking for 1 billion in damages from Google. Ouch!

Alot of people on this forum use Youtube to host videos they have made of our local races. Soooo, its not that far of a stretch to say..if youtube goes down then we dont have a free video hosting website, so no more race videos.
Granted, 1bil is nothing to Google Inc.
