Bergman going to Montana in M&S ride
ALK Promotions, August 20

After winning his first career 410 sprint car main event driving for Mike Anderson, Seth Bergman will be making a few more appearances in the Mike & Shaylen Motorsports car over the next few weeks in some high profile events.

On Labor Day weekend, the M&S Motorsports team will drop the 360ci Shark motor back in their Eagle, sponsored by Burlington Collision, Tri-County Truss, Anderson Power Washing, Art’s Auto Wrecking, Sign Mart and Heavy D. Bergman, who hails from Snohomish, Wash. will be racing in the state of Montana for the first time that weekend in Big Sky Sprint Tour competition.

Friday, August 29 Bergman will see Gallatin Speedway in Belgrade for the first time. Gallatin is a 3/10-mile, high-banked oval located by the Gallatin Airport, not very far from the city of Bozeman. Gallatin opened in the late 1990’s after the old Hub of the Valley Speedway was shut down. In recent years, the Big Sky Sprint Tour’s events at Gallatin Speedway have been very popular as the spectator gates reportedly had to be shut a number of times because so many fans were showing up last year.

Saturday, August 30 will see Bergman and the Big Sky Sprint Tour regulars joined by the teams of the Alberta Sprint Tour in a Can-Am Challenge event at historic Electric City Speedway in Great Falls. The 3/10-mile clay oval, virtually unchanged since it opened in the 1950’s, has been synonymous with sprint car racing in Montana for decades.

If Bergman’s performance in his debut in the M&S ride at Skagit last week was any indication, Bergman could be a threat to contend with in Montana in less than two weeks. Bergman, already twice a winner in his family’s car this year, won that race this past weekend at Skagit by executing a perfect slide job on Mitch Olson to win it on the last lap.

Bergman will skip the Sunday race in Great Falls to return home to Washington race his family’s car in the ASCS Northwest Region event at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma. However, Bergman will be back in the M&S Motorsports entry the next weekend, and it will be with a 410ci motor back under the hood as he’ll be racing with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in the annual Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif.

No they haven't. Was talking with both Steve Kilcup and Mike Anderson in person in Mount Vernon yesterday.  Steve will be driving both the 410 and 360 at Skagit this Saturday. On Labor Day weekend, while Seth is in Montana driving the 360 we'll still see Steve piloting the 410 against the Outlaws at both Skagit and Elma and while Seth is in Chico with the other car Steve will be racing in Skagit's finale. Look for a press release on Monday or so about Steve racing the Outlaws...

Mike just has extra equipment and wants to put it to use. Right now it looks like I'll be heading over to Montana with Seth.
