Willamette Speedway - Wingless Warrior Night at the Races
Midgets and Wingless Sprints
I just received an email from Lori at Willamette, they had a sponsor step up to increase the purse for both the midget and wingless sprint cars.
The payout as copied from the track website, http://www.trophymotorsports.com/ is below.
It is my understanding that we will have 6-7 Grays Harbor Focus Midgets making the trek down for the event, hopefully we can come out with some good results over the open midgets.
Also Lori said;
One of the Oregon Midget drivers (#6 Steve Veltman) will be hosting a BBQ after the races, especially for the Washington drivers. He is asking that folks just head to his pits after the races. Again, everyone is welcome to stay Saturday night as well.
You will also notice on our website it says white pants required. Please note that we *don't* enforce this rule on special events with out of town series/drivers.
We are also holding an open practice night on Friday the 12th from 5 to 8. The cost is 20.00 for car/driver and 5.00 pit pass. Folks just watching in the grandstands don't pay anything.
We are heading down at 11am on Friday, if anyone wants to ride along just let me know.

So they scheduled against the USCA / NOMA series at Grove?
Makes perfect sense...... lol.

| Actually they scheduled this race when USCA had no race on the schedule. After this race was announced USCA scheduled the Grove. So one could look at it two ways I guess.

One of those, is the glass 1/2 full or 1/2 empty deals?

ODSS wanted another date at the Grove. So when the WOD Series changed the date that date was open so the Grove gave it to the ODSS as a replacement for the Scheduled WOD date.
And yes you can look at it 2 way!

I forgot to post the times for the Saturday race. Per Lori, the pit window opens at 12:30, and time trials start at 2:30, with racing starting at 6pm.
