Northsound 1380 ESPN Radio is pleased to announce its 2008 racing schedule. Starting February 14th with the 125 qualifiers from Daytona, and finishing with the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship in November, Northsound 1380 has committed once again to bring racing fans complete coverage of racing at the national and local level.
Northsound 1380’s affiliations with the Motor Racing Network, Performance Racing Network, and the IMS radio Network allow for the best in radio racing coverage. From the Daytona 500, the Indy 500, and complete airing of the NASCAR Chase for the Championship, race fans in the Pacific Northwest will be able to enjoy races like never before.
Also included in Northsound 1380’s racing arsenal is Northsound Racing with Steve Mortland, returning for its third season. Northsound Racing presents automotive racing from a local perspective, covering all aspects of racing in the Pacific Northwest. From the action at Evergreen, Skagit, Yakima, Grays Harbor, Deming, Wenatchee and Pacific Raceways, we also cover the regional touring series, and obscure racing available to us in the Pacific Northwest. Northsound Racing can be heard on Thursday nights from 8:00 to 10:00, both on Northsound 1380, and on its web-site www. Northsound1380.com. As in years past, Steve Mortland will be joined by Carla Heath and Gaylon Stewart, bringing there unique aspects of racing to the airwaves. Northsound Racing starts its third season on February 14th, and continues until the season ends in October.
Following Northsound Racing will be a show titiled “The Alltell Pit Reporters”, hosted by veteran PRN announcer Brett McMillan. The ALLTEL Pit Reporters is a unique forum that brings together the nation's top motorsports media for an hour-long roundtable discussion on the racing issues of the day. If it happened during last week's race, or is a hot topic for this week's race...you'll hear it discussed on The ALLTEL Pit Reporters.
