Those are cool dogs.

I saw Sparkey (I also call him Little Buddy) this afternoon. Our dog, Martin chased him off :( Poor Little Buddy.

He wasn't wet, today. Last time he was here he was soaking wet from the rain.

Maybe the Great Dane puppies are the barkless werewolves Bill is looking for to protect his shop! Beautiful dogs, though. I thought you would trade one for a pallet of dog food!

Michelle,

You're looking for a quiet type guard dog? I raised 3 different Chow Chow's in my younger days, and would say they are that type of dog. Pretty silent till they spring to action. Also, been around a few Akita's that have similar temprement. Both breeds are awesome family dogs also, but you want to get them as pups.

Danes are really passive and don't go to town unless they are really pushed into it or you come in the house without permission.. So I guess they would work but they don't do well outdoors in the cold. I do have a pup left that I would make a super deal to the right home.

I agree ww. I've been around a few danes before also. They are awesome. I would have one but my ole arthritic body couldn't handle one anymore. You have some beautiful dogs. Hope you didn't take my post to Michelle wrong. Tried to respond to her on what I thought was a stealthy kinda dog.

Oh no problem! The beagles (we have three) are wonderful dogs, but they sure want to roam and hunt! One acre is too little for them I guess. I love all dogs-the beagles are noisy if someone, or the neighbors cats, come on the property. Thats usually enough to send anyone to the front door immediately!

Was actually going to get a beagle when we started adding to the family many years ago Michelle. However, my wife had a Dachsund when she was a kid, and there just so happened one came by our house as a stray one day and the rest is history. Had to laugh at the noisy remark as ours are pretty good alarms also. Almost to good

Blasticus , that pictures says it all.... We just sold the last pup today. No more for us, twenty years of Dane raising. We still and always will have one but no more pups.

This is the pup we kept from the litter. He's my new "Buddy"

Cool dogs... And cats!!!

Here is a picture of our cat. I worry about him when we leave him home....... alone. He's either saying "I need a better head scratcher, this tree and chair are not getting the job done" or "When's Santa coming? I will wait here for him."
