Can any one explain to me why Coo's Bay Raceway is only having 2 races each month?

| First year of operation would be my guess. I actually thought their schedule was fairly aggressive for the first season. Lots of different types of cars racing there this year.

| They just put dirt on it last August. I don't believe they have had weekly races there is 10-15 years +. I would agree with SITSINTHESTANDS, pretty aggressive schedule for a "brand new" racetrack. They'll spend the next couple of years just building up a local racer base. These things take time. But a new dirt track in the state of Oregon is definitely a positive.

You got that right!!! I hope I will get a chance to go down there this year and see the new dirt.

This is not the first year of operation. Chuck Prather has the track and has had for 3 years. We have always ran et drags, mud drags and recently put dirt on the oval. We built a motocross track in the infield and a trail ride on the hill this last summer also. We offered circle track events every other weekend last year but never had any car count so ended up only getting off a couple of races. I think that we will have a great year here this year and do agree that it will take a few years to get a car count. We are ready for whatever you racer bring our way.

We were talking about the new dirt track, not the rest of the facility. Sorry for the confusion.
