Ed endured about 9 hours of surgery yesterday and now begins the long slow recovery stage. Continue the positive vibes, every little bit helps!

Ed ran this car on the Elma 1/2 mile and 3/10 mile tracks, powered by a flat head Ford.

The street legal car is an Ed Kvistad chassis built in 68 or 69 & it's a fun car to drive, it was one of the last cars to be built, thank you for the great ride Ed, see you at Elma soon.  Listen to the doctors, don't chase the nurses to much & get well soon.

Ed continues on the recovery road. He is now in a rehab center that specializes in cardiac recovery. His sense of humor is intact as he told his daughters that he had a "valve job." He  has also stated that he has to get better so he can attend the Induction Ceremony in September. Keep the positive thoughts going Ed's way!

Here is a great photo of Ed on the old 1/2 mile.

Ed is doing well. Still weak from his ordeal, but getting better. He spent some time in the hospital on Friday and told his family to get him out of there because no way was he going to miss the Induction Ceremony. Anybody that knows Ed knows how nice a man he is. We were very happy to be honoring him and even more happy he was able to make it. Here is a link for an article on Ed in Friday's Kitsap Sun. http://www.kitsapsun.com/news/2009/sep/04/kvistad-frames-up-a-hall-of-fame-career/
