Majors Hauls Away Pro-4 Pickup Win

As the blazing sun seared Ephrata Raceway Park’s asphalt to temperature exceeding 160 degrees Fahrenheit, racers had difficulties with engines overheating and ill-handling cars. One could argue that the heat taxed the drivers too. However, the excessive heat didn’t stop the action on the ERP high-banks. The Northwest Pro-4 Pickups, a touring group from throughout Washington, converged at ERP and put on a good show for the fans. Series point leader, Jason Majors of Puyallup, earned the main event victory and extended his point lead. Bart Hector continued his dominance in the Pepsi Cola street stock by running away with the win, nearly lapping the third and fourth place cars. The Jerry’s Auto Supply hobby stocks saw Kenny Brown earn the win in a battle of attrition. Dallas White continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the Kim Janke State Farm Agent youth hornets. White took the win in a race littered with yellow flags.
