Prelim Night of Clay Cup to Margeson, Lemley, Gemmer and Van Sickle


Everson, WA - A fun night and busy night of racing on the preliminary night of the 2019 Clay Cup Nationals presented by IBEW / NECA ended with Evan Margeson, Tyson Lemley, Malachi Gemmer and Kane Van Sickle taking wins.

The Speedmart 600 Open division went on last in the program, with Margeson taking the lead from Stan Yockey on lap five to claim the victory. 62 cars signed in for competition. Winners of the eight heat races were Paul Javaux, Ryan Rocha, Jake Andreotti, Colby Thornhill, Cody Christensen, Kyle Mitchell, Corey Day and Cody Key.

Tyson Lemley claimed his first career win in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division, leading the final 11 laps for the victory. 25 Cars competed in the class during the evening. The heat race winners were Jared Gundersen, Doug Nunes and Nate Vaughn.

A chaotic main event in the Mytrafficman.NET 600 Restricted division ended with Malchi Gemmer leading the final five laps for the victory in the 35 car field. Heat race wins went to Ryan Rocha, Jade Avedisian, Gauge Garcia and Logan Trevino.

Kane Van Sickle picked a good night to win his first Clean Crawls Jr Sprint main, leading laps two through fifteen for the victory. Levi Hillier, Cash Lovenburg and McKenna Morgan won the heat races.
